She has contributed her quota........MSc and maxing IELTS.....will she consider French? Many people feel like it's not something they can do, but if you consider the upside +72 points if she gets CLB 7 in LRWS....it may be worth it.

There's also SINP if her NOC is on the list and she has many years of work experience.

Don't be dismayed!

Hi guys,

Should I answer yes in both questions below or just the first one? I have had previous visa denials.

1. ever been refused refugee status, or an immigrant or permanent resident visa (including a Certificat de sélection du Québec (CSQ) or application to the Provincial nominee Program) or visitor or temporary resident visa, to Canada or any other country?

2. ever been refused a visa or permit, denied entry or ordered to leave Canada or any other country?

Thank you.

I have been a silent reader on this thread since somewhere in part 9, so I thought to share my experience.

I have always wanted to live abroad, I got used to UK lifestyle after my masters and I was hoping to stay back afterwards. But........
A few people told me about this Canada immigration but I didn’t take it serious until sometime around mid 2019, I decided it was time. Then I started to research and take action.

WES: This was seamless took about 4 weeks, I have Master’s degree from UK university.
IELTS: Wrote in July, and aced it in one trial (L8.5 R8 W7 S8)
PCC UK: Was also straight forward, and a little more expensive than Nigeria. Got it in about 2 weeks.
PCC Nigeria: It was also easy but dramatic, paid 10k for it.

Then I created an EE profile and four days later I got ITA with the next draw. Cut off was 454 and I was at 478. I proceeded to do my medicals and gather all my documents.

After about a month plus from getting ITA, I submitted my application.

[i]SILENCE

At this time, I didn’t know much about VOs then on the thread, I started reading/hearing of Accra. Five (5) months into an application that is supposed to normally last 6months, still no update + COVID-19. Then I sent a few web forms to inquire about my VO, lo and behold.... It was ACCRA. Chai, I had mixed feelings oooo.

Applied for 1st GCMS note in July through someone in Canada, it came back after a month; eligibility and criminality passed which was not shown in my profile. MEP was the only thing that passed from the initial period of application. Officers assessments also showed everything was good.

SILENCE

Ordered for 2nd GCMS note in second week of November.

Fast forward to 1year+ AOR, I got first update which was that my medical was extended and two weeks later, Additional document was been reviewed according to my profile. I was hoping for a Christmas Miracle at this time but instead, I got a New Year gift; Email that my application is approved YAY!! But they added that I may not be allowed to travel now due to COVID-19. Anyway, I was asked to send in my passport photo and Int’l PP.
Same day I got email that my application had been approved was same day the 2nd GCMS note returned. But it didn’t matter because I had gotten a better NOTE (Lol) and I’ll add also that nothing was different from the 1st and 2nd GCMS notes or maybe I didn’t read it well because at this time, I didn’t care about the notes.

Counterfoil was issued on the 1st of February and all the remaining section on my profile were subsequently passed that same day. Security section passed with a date sometime in May 2020 (just wondering why it wasn’t update when it was actually passed).

I saw on this thread someone suggested that London VFS will be better since Accra is always slow. Though someone argued that because of Coronavirus surge in England, it wasn’t the best idea. I went ahead to contact VFS and they were prompt in replying. It gave me hope that at least they were still in operation/business. So, I trusted God and I went ahead to DHL to have my documents sent to London VFS.
It got to them in 2 days and they dispatched to IRCC same day they received it. Then I got counterfoil update in about two weeks after my documents reached IRCC. My PP was then sent back to VFS and I was notified. So, I had to arrange for pickup and I wrote a consent letter as well. It took about 6 days for PP to be returned to me because VFS designates 2 days for courier pick up to be done and also shipment fell around the weekend (turnaround time for my COPR and PP from London VFS+IRCC was 3weeks).

IT ENDED IN PRAISE!!! THANK YOU JESUS!

For all those still waiting......Hang in there, your miracle is coming, I believe God will not leave us alone in this journey, Amen. Thanks to all those who contribute to this thread.

I hope I can share my landing gist when I arrive/settle.

Good Evening guys, Please i need your help on this,
I want to apply for WES credential evaluation. My degree certificate bears my maiden name different from the name on my International passport. On the WES account i used my present name.
My question is will the different names affect my WES credential evaluation and how do I reconcile both names?
Thank you

Use your current name for WES application.

However, when including the credentials you want to evaluate, use the name as it appears on your certificate/transcript (your maiden name)

I love PPR gists, always something to learn e.g. London VFS still working with faster turnaround than Lagos VFS even with lockdown!

Safe to create a buffer around POF...... would even advise people to ditch xe and use abokifx which is a higher rate for the Naira e.g. 330 rather than 301 on xe....or better yet convert to CAD.

100% right that we cannot determine what a VO will do but the hidden things are for IRCC, the revealed ones are for applicants. It would be very dangerous for applicants to assume in general that a sibling PR may "cover" for POF shortages....it's entirely possible that a VO has made that sort of determination in the past.....I would not bet that it's a general rule though.

If she's the PA, your IELTS should give about 16/18 points already..maxing it will only add 2/4 points

Right. Wifey has indeed done well. I salute the effort she put into the IELTS Exams. I honestly wish I had aligned with her idea that we pursue this immigration dream much earlier. I believe hope is not lost.

The best I can do is to write another IELTS exams, since I may likely get better scores. I can also upgrade my WES. That done, I am seriously banking on PNP and I hope to explore every other option, but not French. Asking wifey to study French would be a very tall order...

Be careful what you wish for.

Stay out of London.

People have been stuck for 2 months post PPR no visa yet.

Be careful, her case is strange and can only be called favour.

Please I need help.
I got ITA November 25th 2020 but as at then i decided not to pursue because my POF wasn’t complete as the time, now I do and time is against me. It’s 13 days to the stipulated date of 3 months for me to submit all necessary document.

I have every other document but my medicals. No appointment date is available at IOM or Q-LIfe until 12th March. What can I do please

I saw your post earlier but i dint think I was in the best position to respond but now I think I am.

According to IRCC, it is not compulsory to do Upfront medicals, applicants do Upfront so as to hasten application time. You can submit your application with a proof of no slot available before your application deadline, i believe a mail from IOM will suffice, you can also include a letter of explanation. I suggest you book the nearest date you can get and even pay. Attach the transaction details too under your medical folder and submit your application. You have seen the trend of draw, it will be sad to waste this opportunity.

I dint respond earlier cause I had not gotten a confirmation that this process will Work, but it has worked for me. Got ITA on 25th of November just like you did, got a date with IOM for Dec 17 but my appointment was Canceled. I submitted my application December 11 regardless with a message from IOM canceling my appointment, proof of payment and letter of explanation. I eventually Did my Upfront medicals on Jan 19 and my profile has been updated to medical passed less than 3 weeks after I got s mail from IOM saying my result had been uploaded.

Omo ! How many people get back market rate(CAD 395) ? So much speculations around this POF matter self. Some says use IRCC rate

Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by oyn: 12:44pm On Feb 16, 2021
So I'm quite new in this PR journey, and the posts here keep me very informed and entertained.

But some of the terms and abbreviations have me confused. Like ADR, BIL, MEP

Is there a glossary or compendium of abbreviations, that can explain what these mean?

Thanks
{meanwhile, this CEC 75 shocker shocked wondering what this means for FSW. Do we expect lower cut off, or no draws at all, since processing 27k applications would def take a while}
