There are two ways to go about registering your business name with the CAC; online and offline. I took the offline route (visited their office) because I tried registering online and I encountered some payment challenges due to the inefficiency of their payment platform, plus other discouraging news I heard about the online process.

Note that the online process is cheaper.

So here is the cost breakdown: They will still take the online route for your offline application.

ONLINE:
- Name reservation: N500
- Registration: N10,000

OFFLINE:
- Name reservation: N1,000
- Registration: N17,000.

So with 18k, you can have your business registration with CAC and the documents available?

Na wa for some third-parties o.
They’d be charging 60k.

Abeg how long before the documents come out?

Where did you go to register your business?
18k sef is too much

Yeah chief, with N18k only.

60k! that's a ripoff.

In their own words, it take 5 working days after payment for registration.

I went to their office in Anambra state.

Thanks so much for this info

Your LGA of residence, your LGA of birth or LGA of business presence? Which of them you tried uploading?

Try reducing the bandwidth of the picture. It says it shouldn't be more than 500kb

It seems they are working on the site or too many people trying to login at a time, you are even lucky someone like me and others are yet to get verification email.

I have successfully logged into my dashboard. verification was successful.

I guess you just have to keep trying, the verification will eventually go through.

I have a question guys. for how long is the registration going to last? cos the first requirement on my dashed board is to select "category of business" I.e registered business or Unregistered business.

My problem now is that I'm expecting my CAC business name registration cert by next week. So I want to know, should I choose registered business and wait for my certificate or I should settle for unregistered business?
