On the 11th of February, 2021. A guy who claimed to be a movie producer and director was in the city of Ilorin to scam some innocent youths in the city. He introduced himself to the hotel staff where he lodged as a movie Maker, he said he was working on a movie whose story-line talked about Kogi and Kwara state heritages. He explained further that his crew members and the actors were in Kogi shooting the movie and that he came to Ilorin to prepare ground for the continuance of the movie. He said he would like to involve some actors and one or two crew members in Ilorin as he is not familiar with the city. Thus he said he needed to do audition for some invited actors.
To cut the whole story shot, he absconded from ilorin on the 13th of the same month and ever since his whereabout is unknown to the hotel staff and even the people he lodged at the hotel.
This has caused a big fight between the hotel and the people because he left without settling a bill of about 300k.
