Omah Lay revealed that he was robbed at the airport. He made this known via his Twitter page on Thursday, February 18, 2021.

“So they stole my laptop, microphone & audio interface from my box at the airport LMAO, y’all looking for a hit record or what?”

However, the exact airport where he was robbed wasn’t mentioned.

I remeber when my box came down the conveyor belt wide open at MMA Lagos. All devices (3 phones at least) were stolen. I almost fainted. Worse part was the guys that gve me the phones in UK to deliver to their people never believed that they were stolen. Trailer jam our friendship permanently cos i couldnt afford to replace the phones.

Something needs to be done, I am surprised it still happens. My experience was over 10years ago.

FAAN deliberately don't have CCTVs cameras covering all angles of our airports so that them and customs will continue to steal like rats. It's been there since 1999 they can never change.

If ordinary Mr Biggs can have CCTVs cameras everywhere, how much more an international airport. Shame shame shame

That's why I always drag my big suitcase as hand luggage to the plane myself, I no fit shout.

Nigerian airport is something else.

Everyone is a potential thief at that airport.

They keep asking for money from the time you offload your bag from your car till you board.

To protect yourself from thieves tampering with your bag in our airport, wrap your bag with thick nylon or cellotapes.
