Can i write back to Canadian immigration to know if the recieved my police report or not becuause i uploaded only the small certificate and its through their webform
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by ericksen(m): 4:19pm On Feb 19, 2021
Did they specifically request for it?
If they didn't, then no need.
Police report is not even needed for Study Permit application. We just do it to fulfil all righteousness.

Hi
Who here has applied to Memorial University for undergraduate fall 2021.

1. I've sent my waec but they haven't asked for my transcript.

Did they ask you guys for unofficial transcript?

2. I asked for an English Proficiency Test waiver but I haven't gotten a reply.

Did anyone send TOEFL or IELTS test scores?

Thanks in advance.

Please find below information regarding exemptions for the post-arrival testing.

PS: International students and temporary foreign workers are not exempted.

Hello NeedMobile,

The question will be answered in relative connection to the SP process. So it goes;

If you intend to go through the NSE stream and have a valid IELTS TRF, option one is correct.

If you intend to go through the NSE stream, but will soon take IELTS test, option two is correct.

If there is a strong conviction to opt for the Regular stream, the last option is correct.

In essence, the last option is the only compatible option to the asked query based on geographical advantage.

Best of Luck

Hello JustMellow,

Thank you so much that I really appreciate your response.

However, the application fee is 100 CAD, how best I can pay for it.

Hello Bro,

You're allowed to take up to $10,000 CAD in cash, but however, you have declare it.

Given the scarcity of forex and the comparison of CBN and black market rates, the difference isn't very much to stress over getting the PTA.

You can (use your existing Naira account or) open a Dom account for yourself if you don't have one or if there is an existing one belonging to a close family member, you can deposit $6,000 - $8,000 CAD (USD rate). The balance $2,000 CAD can be liquid just in case there is a dire need, especially if your Nigeria card fails to work yonder.

When you get the chance to open a Canadian bank account, you can have the other part of the funds wired into the setup account. Any funds withdrawn in Canada will be in CAD except in the obvious.

As for the current rate for PTA, I'm not sure. The best move in order to be adequately guided is reaching out to your financial institution and place a friendly inquiry.

Best of Luck
Roger that JustMellow, Well Appreciated

Any update? Has he received the enrollment letter? Just for information, my enrollment letter was sent to my mail as part of the quarantine plan I received from MUN. Your friend can check the mail again just to confirm if it was sent to his. The enrollment letter given to me for travel is different from the one I got when I applied from the portal.

Hello

Please must it be the same amount you declared in your personal account while processing your visa that must be shown at the port of entry. Tho, parents are sponsors but I also declared some money in my acc too for upkeep.

Will it affect if the BS shows the money was running in the account(being used)

Good evening, gurus in the house.

I have gotten my letter of admission from the University of Windsor for a Masters program. My sponsors are my parents, and there is enough funds for the academic year. I also have all required documents.

My question is, 'Do I have to wait till I pay my tuition before applying for student visa, or should I apply immediately (even as I have not yet paid my tuition)? The window for tuition payment opens in April at The University of Windsor for Fall 2021 semester, and I don't know if I should wait after payment of the first semester tuition before applying for student visa.

Good evening everyone

Please if my sponsor is retired, what documents can I submit for him apart from his statement of account?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by samycage: 9:05pm On Feb 19, 2021
Hey Spectro please go ahead and apply for your Visa. You can only pay the acceptance fee of 4000 CAD. Then you apply with your offer letter. And can also upload the receipt of the acceptance fee. you do not have to wait till full fees payment.

I do not think they will accept the Test waiver
They are very keen about English proficiency tests
I didn’t submit my unofficial transcript, just my WAEC and TOEFL result
I can see you require CASPer test, are you going in for nursing undergrad?
If you are, you need to read the information on their website concerning admissions carefully

All the best

I am not really sure of port of entry dealings but I think you can go along with the $4000 in cash and have the remaining deficit in your bank account then print the BS to show at the port of entry.

Consult with others who have gone through that process, especially recently.
Alright, thanks ma'am

Hello, I'm currently in the same boat as you were with the NSE thingyy... my question is that did you go through with it or you ignored it and have you received your approval letter?

TemTon:
Hi all,
Please I have a quick question.

I will like to know how many months it will take to get my study visa using the normal process of application instead of the Nigerian student express.

I also received a mail that I am eligible for Nigeria student express and I have a deadline until 21st of January and then my application will go through the normal process.
Do I need to wait for the 21 days or I can email them to go ahead with the application normally.

Thank you

I just got an admission to Trent University for a masters degree for Fall 2021. I applied to Ryerson university but I’m yet to get an admission decision. Being that Ryerson university is more ranked than Trent, should I wait for Ryerson? Or I should proceed with Trent.

I have previously begun document gathering for Visa Application.
good evening. I also applied to Trent university but around the deadline. What program were you given admission for at Trent university? Also when did you apply for admission?

I know right... I didn't think it was going to be an issue since I moved it to my second account first before transferring it back to my parent and also the money was transferred through that second account to the main account I used for the application.
Ketima:

Hello,

Am not an expert but I feel you made a mistake. I feel since you mentioned that the money was for your study, you should have allowed the money to be in your account all through the visa application until you get your approval. Instead you moved it out after submission, and now they are asking and you want to bring it back. It might make the VO think that the money actually won't be available for study as you sent it back to the owner immediately you submitted and now we have asked for it again and you brought it back.

The VO might think you borrowed it and it isn't actually yours as your indicated. So for me, I would advice you to leave it and let it go through the normal route but instead, write an LOE on why you can't meet up with the deadline.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by totee1999(f): 10:57pm On Feb 19, 2021
But they still need to see money in the my account... The email stated that "Proof of Financial Support: Proof of Financial Support A mybankStatement certificate showing sufficient funds for your studies for at least 6 months and 12 months of banking history."
Lamideyy:

I am suggesting maybe the mybankstatement should show 12months previous transactions up to the date where the money was still in your account
I really do not know if it would work though
