Governor Hope Uzodimma is set to demolish estates built and own by former governor Okorocha. The said estate was said to have been built on water channels in Owerri Imo state. Imo state government panel in their wisdom recommended total demolition of the estate to save the water channels and environment.

Well, just like many projects of Okorocha, environment impact assessment was never considered. He jumps into any project without first thinking about EIA. That may equally be the reason most of the projects he built are either substandard or unusable, a good example is Owerri tunnel which was recently demolished by Gov Uzodimma and the flyover bridge which has remained unused till date due to poor quality project delivery.

Okorocha came to take Imo State backwards.
Now, his mission is accomplished and the state is bearing the brunt.
How on Earth does a sensible man build a project without carrying out its EIA?
It was very normal for him because he built without plans. He sees projects in his dreams, wakes up the next morning and starts building it at once.
Mehn, this estate is too fine to be demolished!

Some people don't even know where Owerri is, yet they stay in their cesspits and type nonsense.
You should visit that state and see how it floods embarrassingly whenever it rains because people keep building on water channels. Politics aside, Okorocha is a disgrace to humanity!

This should send a message to Buhari that power is transient. Time to undo all he has done will come one day: sooner or later. But sooner I hope.

A curse to imo

Can they publish the environmental impact assessment documents so that people can see reasons why these buildings should be demolished.
Demolishing these buildings will be a waste of tax payers scarse resources. I'm pretty sure a lot of people in Imo state can utilize these resources now.
This is a stupid decision. Just because you have, or having problem with your predecessor does not mean you should destroy all his political legacies.

why not seize and convert it to a government property?
I'm not from Imo but i have never heard or read about him doing a project, All i use to hear about him is to "seize and/or Destroy".

No one is stopping Rochas Okorocha from going to court if he feels the Imo state government is wrong in some of the steps they are taking against him.
