The United States has supported the Nigeria Dairy Industry with the first shipment of pregnant Jersey breed dairy cows which have arrived the Ikun Dairy Farm in Ekiti State.

The Ikun Dairy Farm – a joint venture between Promasidor Nigeria Limited and Ekiti State Government – plans to produce 10,000 litres of milk daily, according to a statement issued by the US Consulate on Thursday.

It is also expected to take delivery of two additional shipments of dairy cows from the United States over the next couple of weeks.

To further support the Nigerian dairy industry, Smith noted that the Foreign Agricultural Service of the U.S. Mission was designing a two-week long training programme in the United States for diverse Nigerian dairy stakeholders.

my brothers shocking! I read an article talking about inflation in food in America... And the article went on to talk about "beef and Liberty" common expression of the English patriotism in the 18th century... there was a discovery that shocked me in the article and what I will like to share with you...

"excerpt"

While Euros were telling folktales about how the loss of a single cow meant the certain death of a whole family.

So, It wasn't today people have been savage like the Fulani Herders in Nigeria.

See how the US also have cattle farmers that despite luxuriant vegetation in that country choose cattle ranching as the best form of management and never made it a national policy of government. But in Nigeria, fulanis have made it a pain to many ethnic nationals.

my brother I worry because, grazing requires huge amount of land to do... And as things are in Nigeria. Which state in the country will be willing to give land for lease... when Fulani people are not to be trusted amongst the tribes, because of their illicit activities around the country...backed by the central government...Cow business is a billion naira business when properly done can generate more money for the country...

look at for instance, grazing lands in America are larger than some entire countries. BLM-managed public grazing lands *alone* are larger than Ukraine.

Are u saying there are no billionaire in the north who can invest in cattle ranching in the region?
Mind you north has more land than south.
IUS practices true federalism, states control resources. Each state looks at its economic advantage. Some states are known for agriculture, some for industries, some for mining etc.
Most things would be ease if Nigeria is restructured.
