PHijo: Evidently Igbo women come in high demand that's why men from other tribes travel hundreds of miles down to the East just to pay the sometimes extravagant bride price for an Igbo woman. The Igbo woman is a quintessential wife and home maker, that's why the divorce rate in Igbo families remains at a staggering low percentage relative to other ethnic groups... a typical Igbo man will go at any length to protect and gloss up his "omalicha babe" & "Achalugo Nwanyi" cause we know what stuff Igbo women are made of. The popular high-life crooner Flavor Nabania in all his songs never fails to exalt the resplendence of the Igbo woman . While at it, since we want to compare the value of Ijaw ape-looking trashy women to Igbo queens, I'll start with just three Igbo women who have made their marks in the benchmark of human achievements... please name the Ijaw female equivalents of: Madam Ngozi Okonjo Iweala- (the first woman and the first African to be chosen as Director-General) Buchi Emechata (richly celebrated writer, global icon in the world of literature and human rights activist) Chimamanda Adichie (easily one of the most popular and celebrated female figures in Africa and globally... she needs no further introduction). Let's see your own list. 4 Likes |

Ekealterego: Chei!!! see the unfiltered savagery with which the Europeans described the primitive Ijaws: " The people are a wild, rude, and treacherous race, savage, and often unpreposessing in look..." This is wickedness taken too far 1 Like |

Ekealterego:Yes we know that. But why are you denying the existence of indigenous Igala speaking communities in Anambra and Enugu states? 1 Like

ijawcitizen:The denial is only in your head. They are even very much happy to be in Anambra state and they are being treated well.. In fact, the news is also delivered to them specially in Igala language even though they are bilingual in Igbo and Igala. However, have you given the same privileges to the Urhobos and Isoko in Bayelsa? 3 Likes 1 Share |
