Open Letter To INEC..

Dear INEC.,
There are actually more important election-related problems which you should also look forward to solving, and not only increasing the number of polling-units..

1). Prompt Publicity/Publishing and Availability of the Whole Results. It is appalling that the only way to get the full results (especially the results released at the various collation points) is by applying for the CTC, after which the applicant would be given unclear photocopies of results-sheets where the figures cannot be seen due to pixelation and blurring caused by the scanners and photocopying machines. Even at that, the hand-written figures in the results-sheets are so tiny due to the fact that the spaces provided for such figures are too small.. INEC Should first-of-all make those spaces in their results-sheets big enough, so that whoever that demands for the CTC could see the figures clearly.. Alternatively, if the results (both the Polling-units Results and the Collation-Centres Results) are also keyed (or fed) directly into a secured digital, online and real-time platform, immediately and simultaneously as the various results are being declared, then, the figures will always be very clear and readable whenever and wherever it is recalled by whomever that might be in need of it.

2). A lot of human involvement in the election process had been causing lots of human errors (and some of these errors are actually deliberate human manipulations). INEC should look forward to solving this problems by reducing the human involvement in elections, and increasing the technological involvement, especially during the collation process.

Yours Faithfully,
Concerned-Citizen
