He can midwife the dissolution of this evil enterprise called Nigeria by calling for a referendum so that the different regions can seceded peacefully along the pre - 1967 state lines which will be (North, West, East and Midwest) without one bullet fired.

See how Biden is changing America within one of his inauguration- That means Jonathan can do a lot to dismantle the current structure which is tilted to favor the north politically. Even if he cannot get us outright secession but if he can get us rigid confederacy, where the various regions will be heavily autonomous by weakening the center so much that it becomes unattractive and cannot never be used by successive administrations to control the various states, then he would have written his name in gold

One of the things I will be looking for is a full fledged regional army for the various regions just like the US national guard which state governors have rights over in their various states. If we have such in Nigeria then no president at Abuja will allow herdsmen to create insecurity in the states as the governors can summon them to protect the people.

And once the president is not needed to fund the states as monthly or annual funding is done for an independent organ or bureaucratic institution- then the President either from any region will not have the power to starve any governor who is not doing the bidding of the president at Abuja

If the supreme court at Abuja is removed from hearing political litigations or election matters and such is referred to a state supreme court just like it is done in America where state electoral cases are heard in the state supreme courts, then the president will not wield fear on the governors to do his bidding and the states will be stronger

If these 3 alone can be done, all this nonsense going on in Nigeria will stop

It’s a trap to create confusion and divide the south. Tinubu, Jonathan, Umahi are all being edged on.

PDP will present a northern candidate. Northern leaders will decamp from APC using all manner of excuses and accusations. They will blame the south especially the SW for Buhari’s woeful performance and join PDP in droves in order to demonize and defeat any southern candidate presented by APC. All this is after they try to present another Northerner but encounter stiff pushback in APC by southern leaders. The cycle continues.

We want an intelligent and visionaryleader who will drive this nation to the frontiers. Someone that will have second term opportunity to drive and sustain good governance.

Oga GEJ, please, note this; if you insist on running again, you have 4 years to do what you think will be best for you and may not be the best for the interest of the people and prevailing situation.

If you are allowed to effect any change to what is happening now, it will only take just 4 years for the perpetrators to reverse it. Nigeria is a project that no leader had ever owned. Rather they have remained operators and never owned the project in their drive. It is now clearly becoming a regional affairs than ever. It is not about being a good person, it about being a visionier.

The real reason why some northern power blocs want GEJ back is just out of political expediency and hubristic intelligence.
Their calculations are that if Goodluck is persuaded to run, then he would only spend four years and step aside, then the north can take over again- that’s to show you how little they think of the south.
Another reason is that they believe that Jonathan given his antecedents of pandering to the wishes of the north, and his gentlemanly disposition and democratic credentials will ensure that he doesn’t retaliate the north’s nepotism.

So that’s basically what is at play, but Jonathan would be foolish to step on this banana peel, ruining his statesman image from the fall.

You honestly think Jonathan of 2021 is still the Jonathan of 2015? So you honestly think he hasn’t done some sober reflections on his time in office and how he was treated by fiends and foes when he left power?
