Nigerians can replicate this at home, but you see those civil servants and bad Nigerians will never allow it. We can just easily blame government.

The civil servants are the real major problems for reform in this country, if they don't buy into your ideas no other way out.

This will not be possible in Nigeria, because of bad followership, unpatroitic citizens, propagandist and bigots.

What about the citizens, any new reform or law, you will see those who should know better only talking about the demerits and gathering opposition to it. Patriotisms is non existent among many. Everything is politics. Yes we blame leaders, but followership as equally guilty.

If this man was chosen in Nigeria, first thing we would be asking is "where is he from".

Your comment is but an example of how feeble minded the average African is. Which is why the continent is in the condition it is in.

1) How STUPID their petty tribalism is.

2) How STUPID it is it fix another man's house while your own is burning.

Sir, the important of strong institutions in a country can not be overemphasized

Do you think the citizens of other countries especially the west don’t want to be deviant? But when you have it at the back of your mind that you have a strong system/institutions in place it will shape your behavior

China straightened their justice/judiciary system by death sentence for offenders of misappropriate of funds by politicians irrespective of who you are you get death sentence if found guilty.

For China to adopt death sentence what is that telling you? Definitely chinese politicians are equally corrupt and capable to loot/embezzle. But now that they know there is a death penalty and the system can’t be compromised it shaped their behavior

But here in this part of the world this useless elected leaders that have the constituted authority to strengthen the institutions has refused to do so because of their selfish interest, so what do you expect from the citizens, patriotism now way? Your guess is good as mine

Get out of here man.

Nigeria is 'nation', the petty entities within it are not.

Those people you listed have built countries - The British have the Scots, the Welsh, the (northern) Irish. Germany has Saxons and Bavarians and others but they are within a single country.

You people reason like children who just left the womb last week.

And those people do not take pride in building other nations at the expense of their own because a sane man realizes that is foolishness.

Sorry, Nigeria is not a Nation.

I am Yoruba before Nigerian and an ethnic group of 50 million individuals is by no means a "Petty entity".... you can be Nigerian before your own ethnic group, that is up to you. A Scot insecure about the achievements of the Welsh, Cornish or English has major self issues.

Where is home? Or you expect a graduate of Harvard University to come and live in zoo with you.
Come on, it's only animals that live in the forest. Dragging who be who.

In jungle, lion and tiger rules. But in the zoo, cow is the Head of state.
So, no many would like to be ruled by a deaf, archaic, foolish, manner less and cruel cow.

I’ve always known Nigerians to be good people. Its so unfortunate we’re being governed by greedy and callous leaders. Give us an enabling environment and watch us succeed and exceed. God bless the good Nigerians out there.

It's a a simple but highly toxic statement.

Isn't it hypocritic of us to accuse the Igbos of petty tribalism while we cheer our own folks?
