I have some ideas for the next Anambra state governor.

1) Create a masterplan for the city of Onitsha and appoint a caretaker committee made up of public/private sector.

2) Make main Market area a special economic district and create an agency that modernizes the market.

3) Create a waterfront development agency to assist in developing Onitsha waterfront.

I will stop here for now.

Anambra need a governor who is crazy and very creative....

the governor will initiate the development of Onitsha as a huge business hub in the eastern region.

1. Take ownership of the areas near the waterfront by paying the owners of the land.

2. Build six lane highway along the water front.

3. Begin constructions of high rise with the help of private sector investors.

4. You will see International brands like HSBC, BARCLAYS, GUCCI, etc taking up office spaces.

5. Create business district or City Centre, down town near the waterfront...which will bring nite life.

Onitsha has the best city master plan and road inter-connectivity but unfortunately, bad road and inability to maintain them by Gov Obiano is the bane of why the city is a shadow of itself. Soludo will do better. If he fails to play his game well, PDP will take over Agu–Awka.

U are right Nne. Awada na my hood that year. I grew up there shaa. Very nice environment with 3,4,5 storey buildings very close to one another.
