my guy say dikwa was overun because of bad commander. he said cas of army was not happy with the super camp. he said their base in marte send signal to dikwa about the movement of terroist to dikwa but the commander did not take action immediately as expected. he said iswap wanted attacking their base but they reply with heavy gunshot and they ran away, that was when they send signial to all close base about their movement. he said when the attack started in the midnight dikwa did not communicate them for reforcement. he said this morning whlile going to dikwa from marte the iswap ambush them 5 km to dikwa with 12.7mm and 14.5 mm. he by God grace they were a able to repelled the attack . He said when iswap sighted them entering the town they started runing. He said sf will now be runing dikwa from now.and somebody in comfot of his house will say will should not apperiate the effort of the military how? |

bidex111:TROOPS FOIL BOKO HARAM ATTEMPTS TO INFILTRATE DIKWA TOWN The troops of Operation LAFIYA DOLE have decisively routed elements of Boko Haram Terrorists and their Islamic State of West Africa Province(ISWAP) counterpart who attempted to infiltrate and attack Dikwa town in Dikwa Local Government Area of Borno State. The terrorist groups who stormed the town in an unconfirmed number of gun trucks and motorcycles were visited with heavy bombardment and overwhelming firepower by troops of 81 Task Force Battalion with reinforcement from other formations of the Nigerian Army and aided by air support of Air Task Force Operation LAFIYA DOLE. The terrorists attempted to invade the town to loot food items and other logistics having got wind of the recent food distribution to residents of the town by the state governor, Professor Babagana Zulum. They came in their droves through the Marte axis but could not gain access to the town due to the combat readiness of troops who were positioned there. The terrorists subsequently lost initiative as they were cut off completely following the recent successful recapture of Marte town by the gallant troops. In desperation and to scare off residents from returning to their homes, they planted series of landmines on the roads which were also detected and successfully detonated by troops. Consequently, the Army Headquarters wishes to debunk the unsubstantiated reports on social media suggesting that the terrorists attacked UN Base in BORNO, trapping 25 Aid Workers as published by some outlets. Those false and sensational reports are clearly aimed at stirring up tension in the region and diminishing the glaring efforts and sacrifices of the Nigerian military in the fight against insurgency. The COAS, Major General Ibrahim Attahiru, has commended the efforts of the gallant troops' and the prompt response of the Air Task Force in providing air interdictions throughout the operation. You are pleased requested to disseminate this report through your medium. Mohammed Yerima Brigadier General Director Army Public Relations 2 Mar 2021 |

Over fifty persons were said to have been kidnapped by armed bandits along the Tegina-Minna road in Rafi Local Government of Niger state. The incident, it was gathered occured, Tuesday, when the three commercial vehicles conveying nine passengers including the drivers ran into the road block at Kundu set up by the bandits. A source told DAILY POST that the passengers in the three cars were kidnapped and conveyed to an unknown location and the vehicles were left by the road side. Similarly, in a related development, armed bandits also attacked Gidigoro town in Rafi council and abducted some villagers, burnt five cars and went away with valuables. Also, one person was killed and many others kidnapped when bandits unleashed terror on Manta town, Shiroro local government on Monday evening. The bandits, gathered, also ransacked the houses of the villagers and stole their foodstuff and other valuables. Efforts to get the reaction of the state Police Command failed as at the time of filing this report, as the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, ASP Wasiu Abiodun did not pick calls put through his line. However, a senior government official who does not want the name mentioned, said up until this moment, nothing has been heard from the bandits for the government to know the identities of those abducted. The development came barely one week after bandits released the abducted Kagara boys. https://dailypost.ng/2021/03/02/breaking-over-50-kidnapped-by-suspected-bandits-in-niger/?amp&utm_term=Autofeed&utm_medium=Social&utm_source=Twitter&__twitter_impression=true |

How some people in ABJ will sit down comfortably and look at the record of the present coas and still appoint him is one thing I will never understand ![]() You appoint him because he is a Muslim and from the north. So just like the Dubai landlord, is majorconcern will be the protection of the GMB led federal government. So far he is loyal to GMB, it does not matter if he is capable or not. |

I remain convinced that the Nigeria army does not know the enemy. I don’t know if it’s possible to defeat an unknown enemy. Buratai should not have said the enemy cannot be defeated if indeed he actually said this. He also should not have stated that the enemy is local. If foreign powers are backing and supplying intelligence to what we are terming terrorists and Nigeria continues to wage a war based on assessing the enemy as locals shielding in the community, and from time to time conclude setbacks are the result of sabotage within the ranks, one day a major disaster will occur. |

iblawi:Where in my post am I talking about a Christian or southerner ![]() I'm saying the present coas is clueless. I've seen his scorecard, he does not deserve to become the COAS. Well, nah people of the NE and NW dey feel the incompetency of the FG the most. |

SamuelAnyawu:Chai!! In this 2021 ![]() The best solution for me is to cut off the NW and NE even though is hard but is possible. Another solution which is possible but still far away is to vote out the Vegetable in Aso Rock. I don't understand why the clueless thing can't be impeach by the NA with this kind of failure. E go hard and tey before this country go fit develop if we still choose to let the NE and NW tag along... Just imagine all the kin nonsense news that have been coming from the north in the past 3-4 weeks |

BabaOwen:What will parting with a statement such as, ‘the enemy cannot be defeated’, do to the moral of the fighting men he leaves behind as well as that of the enemy? Such an utterance seems to me so stupid it borders on questionable with quotes |

It seems the former CBN deputy governor was right about what he said. He said politicians from the north brought in mercenaries into Nigeria for civil war in case Jonathan had won 2015 election. I wish I knew about this back then |
