Hello people,
Trust you all are having a good day.
So I was wondering, how is life in Abakaliki in terms of lifestyle, night life, citizenry, their income level,etc...
Is their city beautiful?
Can their people(a good number) afford the basic things in life like good housing, good food and luxury?
Their drinking habits and lifestyle?
Does it have a Vibrant nightlife?
Which major town is very close to Abakiliki?
Do their tradesmen get their wares from Enugu,Aba or Onitsha?
Asking all these for survey purposes btw, hope I offend no one with my curiosity.

My Oga,sorry for my late response, was in nairaland jail.
Yes,nightlife is picking up in Abakaliki but I feel businesses like drinking joints are a bit saturated though everywhere is usually full most evenings esp weekends.Your Igbo ppl sabi drink naa cheesy
Income level is not so good esp now,a graduate earns less than 40k and Dave's patronage circle is very tiny in terms of contracts and govt jobs.
The city is beautiful now, street lighting, good roads etc.
The major towns close to Abakaliki are Ikom and Ogoja in Cross River, the rest are people's villages in Ebonyi state like Afikpo,Onueke etc though Afikpo is the most vibrant of all and the 2nd largest town in d state.Traders from Ikom and Ogoja sometimes get their wares from Abakaliki instead of going up to Onitsha.
Tradesmen in Abakaliki mostly get their wares from Onitsha and Lagos and a few from Aba Ngwa.
Hope this helps.

Thanks baba,
I am actually going there to sell liquor, but not in the open market rather sell to people that own liquor stores, not bars.
Like is there a place or section in abakaliki where could be your one stop shop for anything liquor in abakaliki city?
Like say you want to buy Hennessy, moet ,dom perignon ,etc in abakaliki, where do you go to apart from giant retail outlet like spar,shopritr,etc..
Is there a place like this in Abakaliki?

Bro,there is the Abakaliki international market which I'm sure has a wine section and few wine shops scattered all over the town which you can supply. Then there are the night clubs too.
But eee, your turnover won't be so wonderful, na beer we still de guzzle and few ppl buying Hennessey and Red Label.
Umahi's infrastructural drive came at a prize of erosion of middle class.
Na only few govt house ppl, house of assembly members and FETHA(Fed teach hosp) de flex.
But if your prices are good, you could be the only one supplying the whole town.
