The Evil Of Nigeria Police Force I don't know the section of nairaland I should share this on, but I decide to post this on politics section. The Nigeria Police force has done more harm to its citizen than good and they continue to do more harm to the Nigeria people This is an account of what happened to me within 72 hours. Three days ago I wanted to go to the next town so I decide to walk a little to the express road, then I will take rickshaw to continue my journey to my destination. After walking for about 5 minuits, I was on the corner side of the express road walking and something in me compelled me to stop and I turned to look at my back. I instantly saw an okada, driving towards me in high speed. Because he was very close to me, there was no way for me to dorge him, so I covered my rib with my entire arm. This Okada rider was a police officer riding an okada in high speed brush me off my feet and I could remember seeing myself in the air then I hit the ground. When I landed on the pave road, I was not able to used my right leg. I started jumping with one leg and went somewhere to lie down and many people rush to me to see if I was ok. This is what happened: A rickshaw man was driving and intend to park and drop a passenger at the corner side of the road. The police officer didn't know that the keke man intend to slow down to park his rickahaw. Because the police man was on high speed which he already knew he cannot avoid himself running into the rickshaw, he has only three option. 1) If he match break, that means he might sammersut and end up dieing. 2) Run onto the rickshaw which he might end up in hospital with broken bones. 3) Dodge the rickshaw and run into me which he did to save his own life. After the whole incident, this police officer that nealy killed me, he started throwing blame on the rickshaw man while I was on the ground trying to regain my leg. Some people that rush to the scene started telling the police officer to come and see how I was doing and to take me to the hospital for treatment. He came to me and asked me how I was doing and I told him I getting OK regaining my leg and I was able to stand with small injury and pain in my right leg. The police man said to me, sorry, sorry, and stretch his hand to give me a handshake, went back to his okada and zoom off. The rickshaw man was the one who shows me small sympathy and concern and after the policeman left I later realize that the battery of the nokia touch phone I was holding has fallen into the gurtter and lost. I was even lucky that, I left my android phone at home. Since I was now able to stand and walked a little. The ricshaw man help me little bit on my journey and when I got home, I started to feel excruciating pains and my leg was no longer functioning well. All my body was in pains. When I breath I feel pain in my chest, when I laugh, I feel pain. I feel pain in my ribs and organs. From my waste to my right leg was not funtioning. I had to lay on the ground in pains and I feel very weak all over my body. When I look at my damage phone, I started to feel emotional pains over all that has happened to me and I decided that, I must go an look for this police man because I know the police station were he works. I thought when I find him, I will show him my damage phone and make him to undertand the suffering he has caused me. I wanted to tell him, that they way he zoom off and left me to go and treat myself, things are not done this way. This morning I decide to go to the police station to look for him. I entered the police yard and at the entrance of the station, one police man stopped me and these were our conversation. Police Man; hey what do you wants? Me; Good morning sir Police Man : Why didn't you wear your face/nose mask? Me: I look at the face of this police man and other police around the visinity, they were not even wearing face mask and the police officer is asking me why I didn't wear any. Me: I answered, sir I forgot my own at home Police Man; why did you leave yours at home ? Me: I saw that no one has been wearing face mask, that is why I didn't bring mine. Police man; Pointed at a certain direction with an A4 paper on the wall, writen on it : NO FACE MASK NO ENTRY. Me: Sir I didn't notice it, you are even the one showing me. Police man; dont you know it is in Nigeria law that everyone must wear face mask? Me: sir I dont know that wearing face mask is in Nigeria law Police Man : Why do you put you hands in your pocket while talking to me ? You dont have manners Me; sorry sir Police Officer; Get out of this place now. Me: I tried to speak Police Officer: Get out of this place now Me; I left the police yard and went outside trying to look for this police man who wanted to paralize my spine with an okada. Police Man: Walked to me outside and started pushing me with full force and anger that I should get out of the police area. As I walked; the same police man started trowing curses at me, saying foolish person, useless person, all manner of curse was being rain at me. I walked away with pains in my leg, and stood somewhere far away from the police premise as I watch them going about with their guns doing their business as usual. I could see wickedness potruding from their appearance. A man walked up to me and told me something and his advice to me shows that, I should have to relate with any police officer as if the police are demi gods. Another man, a pastor told me that I should go home and gives thanks to God that God has kept me alive for a reason known to him alone. I myself as a person I love to put my hands in my pocked anytime I walk very slow to battle many thought and life challenges I prefare a person to correct me when I made mistake and ask me questions than to attack me I was grieving as I look at these police men and I remember this quote, No matter what men do to you, don't retaliate, because the world evil men are best handled by God. As (Romans 12:19) says, "vengeance is mine, says The Lord! |

Well that is police for you but you have your fault. You were knocked down by motorcycle just because you are not give up instantly he asked you if you are okay you said yes...instead to tell him no in order to take you to hospital. After all you are not walking on the road. You should have leave the police officer and keke man to continue arguing with their ancestors your own is to get to hospital. Secondly you went to police station today with intention of looking for the police that almost kill you instead to go straight inside and report the police man.you wouldn't have not talk to idiot asking you what you want. |
