theFilmtric:That's why I proposed 3 capital cities Ibadan- Supreme Court(Judicial Capital) Enugu- Presidential Villa(Executive Capital) PorthHarcourth-National Assembly (Legislative capital) Enugu is at the centre and also very cool to house the Presidential Villa. If you are a senator or rep member, then you will be based in PH. The Chief justice of the nation and the supreme Court all in Lagos. president and Ministers in Enugu. we shall have 3 to 4 ports. Each zone with functional international airports, sea ports etc. We supply Oil and technology to Northern Nigeria. They give us food, agricultural raw materials and livestock. They also got big cities up North to develop, Abuja is there for them, Jos, Kaduna, Kano, Sokoto. We can help them to fight terrorists from the Sahel...if they so wish |

Reason isn't far-fetched.Nigeria is a historical accident. In clear terms,as it's presently constituted,it shouldn't have existed as a nation. There are legions of nations locked inside this claustrophobic space, who are disadvantaged and stepped over by what I call accidents of history; irresponsibles, who pretend to leadership, but only mirror the ascendancy of failures. If America's democracy has been described as deeply flawed, then what we have here is a failed enterprise; a convulsing democracy.Hence, the glut of resources, particularly, human are being ,sadly wasted, with the consequence of poaching and aggressive brain drain. It will require a sound leadership to articulate the vision of a people and channel their courses of progress.Accidents of history cannot do that ,for they've not got the technical mind to do that. |

theFilmtric:They will have Christian minorities up North and here we shall have Muslim minorities. They way they treat the christians there...will also determine how we treat Muslims here. The equation will be balanced. They have gold now in Zamfra and Kano. And something in me tells me these people don discover oil in Chad Basin and deceided to hide it. They are looking for the ripe time to begin drill am. That rail line they are building up to Maradi in Niger will help them move their imported goods from Lagos. Nigeria no fit work under this pattern. Mere looking at 9ja flag...Green White Green...you will know the country is artificial....it was hurriedly arranged. No symbol of nationhood in 9ja flag, no driving force, no ideology at all. If Nigeria no gree divide and be useful...na to relocate elsewhere...become a citizen there and give my generations to come a secured future. |

The only people that are happy with the current state of Nigeria are the northerners, and that says a lot about why the country is in rut. People that are yet to grapple with the modem civilization but only see affairs of this country as a power tussle between them and other people from the southern parts. Northern leaders lack the leadership initiatives and their youths lack the ability to bring their leaders to their toes. Secondly and most importantly, I've never seen a black man that stands by any cause they believe in without rescinding on their faith. Black people lack the resilience, perseverance, and discipline needed to build a nation, they can only do their best in the functioning system put in place by other people. It is not a secret, look around you, how many successful enterprises originated by a black persons? Even in Nigeria as we know it as the most populous black nation, how many businesses founded twenty years ago that are still standing on their feet without deviating from their original purposes? The resilience, perseverance and innovativeness needed to achieve this are lacking in the black culture. |

When that didn't work, they proposed converting all the inland water to grazing reserves for the Fulani. Appointment to head powerful national institutions depend on where you come from. theFilmtric:That's true bro. A Russian was telling me how there forefathers suffered cold to fight Hitler and his Nazi army. How they refused to chicken untill they were closing in on Berlin to capture Hitler. She said that's why they respect Stalin till today. If not they would have been a conquered people by now... But also see it these way. Our ancestors were foolish to let the British in. Na them first Bleep and sold there own. The ancestors of the Chinese and Japanese no gree So our ancestors wey no value their land na you go come carry the land for head. look at Canada and US today almost everyone there came from UK and France. Today their generations are a citizens. So na the way to go bro. If Obama papa no japa from Kenya...he wouldn't have be the Dad of an American president. Where Pa Obama dey now he is very proud and happy each time he remembers the day he moved out of Kenya. |

aadoiza:I was speaking about our Darling Daddy! However, the disease is widespread and it's a big problem in Nigeria. The only thing is that Nepotism is strongly the weakness of some while for others they are fairly detribalised. e.g. Obasanjo (with all his weaknesses) is fairly detribalised. Yaradua, to a large extent is also detribalised. But on the average, Nigerians are tribalistic |

In the first place, Nigeria has a population of over 200m people. God did not put anyone in this world without potential. Stop blaming the North for your predicaments. You installed them based and calculated on preference since 1959 even when you had majority to do otherwise. You started military Government experiment and empirical evidence shows it was a failure everywhere. You do not put zombies to manage a country with knowledgeable middle class they can easily eliminate. Stop beating your chests about Yoruba and Igbo achievement outside. It creates false confidence, satisfaction and resignation that kill local incentive. Indians, Chinese and even hated Russians do better than Nigerians outside. Nigerians are only used to spite Diaspora blacks as comparison. You always use Okonjo Iweala and Adeshina as example, yet you cannot point to their private sector achievements or any country they lifted out of poverty. Africans value International organizations but other countries only put political, used and retired workers there. Now, if either Adeshina or Okonjo pulled the stuff they did in Nigeria outside, both would earn big prison years. Ngozi used her bother to negotiate commission on Paris Loans. OBJ could only change her position. She paid off Paris loan but encourage loans in Jonathan Govt. Adeshina and Kofi Annan were investigated for appearance of what Ngozi did inside and cleared outside. It shows you that the same Africans you celebrate today would not dare try what they did in Africa outside. Stop beating your chests. It is getting nauseating when you celebrate people who would rather be in their own countries than outside. It is their frustrations you are celebrating. Celebrate the intelligence of people like Dr. Maduka who saw frustrations in America after some staged malpractices against him, sued and lucky out of many blacks like him and won. He brought his money home. I still do not understand why he is in politics with sharks. |

Guy until we start operating pure meritocracy thoroughly marinated with accountability, then there is no hope! If meritocracy is in place, everyone will strive to be the best version of themselves knowing fully well they will be remembered and rewarded appropriately. We will have no other choice than to be the best in nearly every facet of life just like US. All these nonsense witnessed today will be rare. |

Sir, that is scary. It is an indictment of a whole group of people. You may be right about the mentality of readymade generation today. It was based on Niger Delta Oil Income of Gowon: Money is not the problem but how to spend it. Nigeria was richer and a potential Regional Power in Africa before Oil Income. pacespot: |

I honestly think we over-flock, praise meritocracy in the USA. In the first place, it only exist in the private sector where immigrants and their first generation children work hard against all odds to break through. America practice Branding by taking credit for the talents of diverse group. No matter how talented you are in the USA, English, Irish and later Italian whites are your bosses and managers until recently when Asians start heading major private corporations. Is that meritocracy? Mention one major private corporation headed by African. Please, please do not mention white South African. VeeVeeMyLuv: |

The British never intended for the nation to ever develop. They made it that this nation will forever remain a developing third world shithole that's why they installed the Northerners who are never really development oriented at the helm of affairs of this nation. 50yrs from now the situation will still remain the same until the scales fall off the eyes of the people and they realize they have been conned into believing what never really existed(Nigeria). |

VeeVeeMyLuv:You didn't read me carefully. I said, Nigerians excel whenever tribal or religious sentiments is not a factor like outside this country. In Nigeria, quota system will religate the best in favour of the mediocre. Appointment is by where you come from and not your qualifications. We are too fragmented in this country |

LokoH:Tell me a single state in the "head category" that bring rapid development to her people as much as the "tail category"did. If u keep blaming FG or some group of people holding your progress when in reality you " the head" rule the country for about 15yrs out of the 22yrs of our return to democracy then u will never grow. If u want to measure success of Nigeria start by weighing your LG chairmen and state Governors performance before you look upto FG. In addition this may also tell you more about Nigeria: HISTORY OF NIGERIA LEADERSHIP DISTRIBUTION Some people should rather use their brain to think than to allow others feed them with hatred & lies. Some forces are using ethno-religious diversity of Nigeria to create dangerous accusations & conspiracies which are far from the truth. Those enemies of peace logically use the current predicaments of Nigerian to blame some tribes or religious group for the failure of Nigeria not knowing that all the groups collaborated in gang raping the nation. Those inciting Nigerians along ethno-religious line know very well that some gullible are so dumb enough to accept anything trash feed into their head. Below is the data that calculated the years Nigerians are ruled under religious, ethnic and geographical location considerations. 60 years since independence, Nigeria was ruled by: 11years Obasanjo- Yoruba 9 years Yakubu Gowon-Angas 8 years IBB-Nupe 6 years GEJ-Ijaw 6yrs Nnamdi Azikwe-Igbo 5 years Abacha-Kanuri 7 years Buhari (+2yrs military regime)- Fulani 3 years Shagari-Fulani 2yrs Yaradua-Tuareg 6 months Agunyi-Ironsi-Igbo 2years Murtala, Shonekan & Abdussalam-Fulani, Yoruba & Hausa. If calculated along religious line, it can be seen that Nigeria was ruled under Christians Presidents for atleast 32years while Muslims Presidents ruled for 28 years. When calculated along geographical location, it can be seen that South ruled for almost 24yrs while North rule for almost 36yrs. Yoruba ruled for approximately 12years, Fulani ruled for less than 11yrs, Angas ruled for 9yrs, Igbos ruled for 6yrs, Ijaw had 6yrs, Kanuri had 5yrs, Nupe had 8yrs, Tuarek had 2yrs while Hausa had 1year only. North-Western presided Nigeria for about 17yrs, South-West presided for about 12yrs, North-Central enjoyed approximately 18yrs, South-South presided for 6yrs, South-East had 6yrs while North-East are still struggling to get to the apex position and still not agitating for it. Going by the logical distribution of power along ethnic and religious line it can be seen that accusing only one particular tribe for Nigeria's failure is just a deliberate tactics by desperate power mongers and children of hate to put us into ethno-religious conflicts. Since 1999 to present, two southern presidents used almost 15years out of the 21 years and yet we southerners still complain of Fulani dominance everywhere like babies throwing tantrums. |

The major problem too many silly and stupid people in positions who believe Nigeria cannot achieve 100% 24 hours electricity in the 21st century. The only solution remains meritocracy supported by the Pilar of accountability. Otherwise it will be continuous woes even if the country splits into 37 parts. |
