Never in the history of Nigeria has the appointment of judges and justices for the country’s federal courts attracted so much condemnations and rejection as it has done since President Muhammadu Buhari assumed power and since Justice Ibrahim Tanko Muhammad became the Chief Justice of Nigeria.Even the judiciary that supposed to be independent of any external influence from anywhere is now in the pocket of the executive. How justice Onneghen was unceremoniously removed from office without due process(though corrupt) and the intrigues surrounding the appointment of the PCA-Monica Dongban are all pointers. Same with the case of the chief judge of Gombe state. I said it, the NJC, NBA, Body of Benchers, Council of Legal Education all lost it the day when a president told them that "National security supersedes the rule of law" during the annual NBA conference in Lagos yet they clapped for him gleefully. President Buhari's led APC government have really bastardized all facets of our national life including our democratic norms & processes, separation of power, rule of law with bigotry, nepotism, clannishness and ethno-religious supremacist agenda.Buhari was simply an unimaginable disaster that was thoroughly under-rated. Guess the Nigerian judiciary needs to take a look of how the US supreme court judges though appointed by former President Trump but overtly refused to be used to do his bidding following the aftermath of the last US presidential election. |

For the first time in a while, we are witnessing a regime where appointments and nominations are based on ethnoreligious sentiments rather than merit sentiments. |

I'd love to know the bastards who compiled this list and hope it is rejected. |

This doesn't surprise Nigerians anymore. But what is surprising is the strength some people put in to defend the incompetence of this administration |

Davidson went through the right source, cos he believes and trust in the President. Our development start from our judiciary, So round peg must be put in round holes. Nigeria will be great again in our lifetime. God bless Nigeria. |

if only a Southerner will replicate this when they take over power but no they won't. They will want to show how enlighten and sophisticated they are by carrying federal character on their heads |

The worst of it all is that the FG doesn't care as far as the North has it all. The cabal are doing everything possible to see that northern muslims controls every important sector of the country. This is WRONG!!!! |

Government of the North by the North and for the North. The worst thing to have ever happened to Nigeria is Buhari. Very cunning and one-sided personality. Mtcheeeeew! |

Never in the history of this contraption has there been brazen cases of nepotism, tribalism, ethnicity, jingoism and religious fanatism in governance like under the lifeless one. The audacity in which this is done without any opposition is the reason banditry and terrorism has thrived. We really need to wake up and resist this with all available options |
