Several governments over the years proffered half-hearted solutions to no avail, until this week, the launch of a novel electronic call up solution in addition to political will by both Lagos state and Federal Government made it possible for the traffic disappear. @drivinginlagos took a ride around the major roads of Apapa (Wharf Road, Commercial Road e.t.c) to confirm that traffic had indeed disappeared.

Nice, but you didn’t get to the Liverpool area though.

I wished that you exited Apapa through Creek road, climbing the Liverpool bridge, past Tin Can access and out of Apapa let’s see how free that route is.

I will never forget one day in 2015 I left a building on Bauchi road and I said let me quickly dash to FESTAC town through Liverpool bridge and get to Mile 2. As I climbed the bridge, I had not moved up to 150m from the foot of the bridge before I ran into a line of traffic filled with trailers and articulated vehicles. I asked one of the trailer motorboys “O boy, abeg when person go reach Mile 2 laidis” The guy say, na tomorrow morning, say I go follow them sleep for road

No be person tell me.. if you see the speed wey I use take reverse before dem trap me. I jus jeje go follow Apapa road dey go were I dey go.

Could you also make a video from the Mile 2 axis? The PTSD I suffered will not allow me enter Apapa inside a car for now.

Funny thing is that this route option is on the cards. There is a possibility of attempting it via a cab hailing service though
