A very different commandment however, is making the rounds among Nigerian christians.

It says, ''Secede from thy neighbour''.

The two messages are fundamentally different.

One is about unity.

The other is about disunity.

One is about ''let's do things together''.

The other is about ''let everybody answer his father's name''.

Should a practising christian support the message of disunity, ie secession, in light of its contradiction of biblical dictates?

In short, Is secessionism a sin?

If I go to Europe and violently command Germany, UK and France to merge into one country, name the country "White Bastards" (in reference to "Nigga Area" Nigeria), then import a cow rearer from Russia to become their president, is that a sin?

Is killing, burning of public resources and blackmailing of your neighbours into giving you more allocation with Boko Haram terrorism a sin?

Is using Fulani Herdsmen terrorism as a front to share Niger Delta oil money to your brothers from Chad and Sudan in the name of paying ransom to bandits a sin?

My father built three small huts on a very large piece of land which was inherited by me and my two brothers. Everyday our wives quarell and fight against each other.
