Those savings could be considered as modest for upper middle income earners in the USA.

Most Nigerians will trade saving more than that for the opportunity to live without having to worry about power supply, enjoying good roads, security, living in comfort, along with other nameless benefits of living in a "1st world country".

I am a businessman and the thing is I am in for money in any choice I make. I made around 22 million in savings last year. Though I cut family and girlfriends off my life to achieve that and am in Nigeria.

But seeing the doings of people outside The country, there was an America based lady that spent over 12 million naira on her mother's burial. For her to spend that much I believe she will have 20x of that amount.

Speaking as someone who once lived and worked in South Korea, I made around 2.5million monthly and lived decently, and also did some business (buying cars and bicycles and sending back to Naija), I guess I made more than 30m annually combined.


And as someone who have childhood friends living in the US who we share our experiences, I have a friend who is a nurse in the US and he earns around $8,000 - $12,000 monthly before tax. During the covid-19 last year he relocated to New York and was earning around $120 per hour, so you can check it.

He has completed 2 big houses (2 storey buildings) in Nigeria that he spent at least 50million each (buying lands included) between 2012 to last year.


Another one who works outside the medical field earns between $7,000 to $10,000 before tax monthly.


But if you earn the amount you said in Nigeria, you don't need to relocate, just plan well and send your spouse or kids to US or any good European country for security and future insurance.
