NNPC should be sold to the Nigerian public with a capped amount of shares to each shareholder...Let shareholders elect a board of directors.

The corruption in NNPC is too much...

Cos rather than site refineries where the crude oil was, we built refineries in far-off locations and then built pipelines to move the crude there. We then impoverished the communities through which the pipelines passed and destroyed their land.

It isnt rocket science that they will destroy the pipelines to tap a share of the wealth.

It is just oppression against Niger Deltans

I don't know why Federal Governments of past and present time are envious of Niger Delta

Is the oil bigger than Niger Delta?

or is Federal Government feared the governors of that are will loot much than them?

The North has no business managing NNPC. They are wasteful. How can are we so soft in the south to the point of allowing the North who doesn't produce a drop of oil to be in charge of everything oil.

I say we stopped oil flow until every brain reset in this country. Imagine what that N4trn could have done for the state of infrastructure in the South.

The only reason i know this administration is doomed, is that it spend time, money and other resources to pull down or get even with the formal administration. I even see one idiot comparing niger delta militants to boko haram and bandits.

Racoon, That is the only thing you can type.
Your shortest post/comment in your history on Nairaland.
You stopped at that when you suddenly realised it is during the tenure of your party of looters that you supported for 16 years!
You quickly swallowed all the venom you wanted to spill out to Buhari as u do 24/7 for your 5 naira per post daily job.
What a Hypocrite you are. Shame.
Omenkalives,Simplyleo, thatfairguy una see am so.
Life of an hypocrite.

Instead of your relentless criticism of pdp's 16yrs, why don't you sit down for once and weigh your satanist party- APC's ideology? I'm sure the realisation will moderate ur fainted opinions. If PDP had ruled Nigeria like APC is doing, do you think we would have achieved anything? I don't know how old you are but it seems you suddenly became conscious of Nigerian politics when this administration came to power. Anyways, continue with ur chagrin.

Well, in fairness to GEJ, we won't have spent up to that amount of money IF we Nigerians had let him remove fuel subsidy completely in 2011.

But we went on protests, and the government got scared, and returned us to subsidy regimen...which is why NNPC ended up paying the N4 trillion naira.

It was Nigeria's love for cheap fuel that brought us here.

It has nothing to do with the North

The N4 trillion is subsidy money...paid to keep fuel prices at N65, then at N97 and then at N87 in the period 2010-15....which would have been saved if you Nigerians had not objected to GEJ removing subsidy in 2011.

I am not a fan of GEJ, but on subsidy removal, he made a lot of sense.

Plus the popeline repairs...NNPC pipelies fail from time to time...as is expected...plus there is a lot of vandalisation...conducted mostly by....Southerners.

NNPC should be privatised

I wonder if Bill Gates dares control his business the way NNPC do

A bridge that cost ten kobo they will say it costs one naira then spend seven kobo

Twas part of Atiku Abubakar's promise during his campaign; that nnpc must be privatised. If you know the rot in nnpc, you the corporation. This is why this administration ensures that they're in-charge

And then Atiku also said that fuel must be sold at N90...messing up any promise to privatise.

See privatising NNPC means that NNPC must be run at a profit...meaning that it must sell things like pterol at market prices for the ebenfit of its shareholders...

And extedning the subsidy regimen by making fuel cost N90 won't have solved that prtoblem.

Anyone comparing the two has mental disorder, the current PRESIDENT is the current minister for PETROLEUM and under his watch as the minister for PETROLEUM, N100 million was used to purchase only pen last year, RIDICULOUS' how are we even sure that this is not another Apc WITCH-HUNT and PROPAGANDA, we must not forget that under GEJ a serving minister was probed and sacked by the then SENATE as well Maina the then pension BOSS, under PMB what did we see? a FINANCE MINISTER was working with a forged NYSC certificate, Nigerians cried and cried about it but their DARLING YANKEE looked away, she willingly resigned on her own afer some years and flew abroad, till date' she has gone scotch free, no probe no nothing, GEJ was never a SAINT' but at least he performed far better within four years unlike thier DARLING YANKEE in six years, GEJ can listen and take action, but we can't even tell if their DARLING YANKEE is alive or dead, #which-way-Nigeria
