I am writing to you as a concerned Nigerian and an Easterner to quickly dissolve the Eastern security network (ESN) following the order from the President to all security personnel to shoot at sight anyone caught with an AK 47 rifle.



I understand Sir that your intention for forming the ESN is very noble following the recent invasion of the monstrous Killer Fulanis herdsmen who have taken over the Eastern forests and have been killing, kidnapping, maiming, and raping our people. But you need to call back your boys to lay down their weapons for now. I know your boys will surely listen to your voice or reason.

You will agree with me that the security atmosphere in the country is very tense and politized as well. The fight against the killer Fulanis herdsmen isn’t holistic but one-sided. The fight against the bandits is still nothing to write home about especially following the way bandits are being paid to release their abductees across states like Kaduna, Niger, and Zamfara states.

You will also agree with me that the order to shoot anyone caught with an AK 47 inside the bushes is mainly targeted at wiping off the ESN. So you need to apply caution and wisdom in this situation. Kindly dissolve the ESN and lay low for now to avoid casualties which will likely be innocent civilians.

We all saw the military invasion in Orlu in Imo state and how it all went down. Let’s not allow them to kill us this time with the order to shoot at sight anyone caught with an AK 47 rifle.

The writer is very stupid.

If the killer Fulani herdsmen are still armed and in our forests committing all sorts of crime, then it is only right that the ESN keeps operating albeit clandestinely. When the government is serious, it will go after the terrorists, disarm them, prosecute them, and then logically we will be in support of the ESN and other counter-militia/outfits disbanding.

If anyone thinks Garbas face-saving order that is aimed at the victims while the aggressors have a field day will hold water, then they don't have their thinking cap on. Someone that has come out to use the instrument of government to advocate for terrorists.

The failed government should have taken action when its tribal affiliates were routing the middle-belt. Heck, the south should have also taken action then as the corridor leads directly to them. The actions and inactions of the government of the day has shown that they are tacitly in support of terrorists from one side and against any militia set up to counter them. A government that has become an internal security threat to the nation.

The fundamental right to life is a basic one. If the government architecture has been designed and twisted to take sides with terrorists and murderers, then the people have no other choice than to resort to self-help. I only shake my head for the southerners that are willing tools to be used for the desolation of their region and civilization.

Nigeria does not have a people's army dedicated for the protection of lives and properties. What they call Nigerian army is nothing but a squard of militia in uniform who're joining forces with enemies of Indigenous Nigerians to massacre and displace us off our God-given lands.
