AdakaBoro8:Who are the south south people? Why are you ashamed to say ijaw? If ijaw encroaches an inch on Igboland we will take a mile. BTW, the topic is about Benue in North Central, so take your fish brain self somewhere before you start feeling some useless important. |

PHijo: Are there Ijaw speakers in Akwa ibom? Nope. The Ibeno and Eastern Obolo you are claiming all speak Ibibiod language. Even Andoni are Ibibiod language speaking. On your land drag with Edo's at Gelegele. I largely think the Edo are land grabbing there, but both of you are Igbophobic, so I don't really care and would rather both of you stay at each other's throat. Nothing concern me. 3 Likes |

You are quoting a Nairalander's post with source from an unknown blogger to me. LOOOL! Are you ok? When did your oversabi start telling you that you know Benue more than Benue indigents? From Otukpo to Ebonyi, we have the Idomas,Akweya's from Akpa, the Ufias from Utonkon and Ulayi, and the Agila's from Ado LG. Oju only have one language which is Igede. The Ezzas settled at Ezza Odumoke which shares border with Ebonyi and they are from Ebonyi State. Please stop deceiving yourself. Abba Moro went there to make peace because you blood sucking Igbos won't stop killing our people Check Benue Local governments and tell me where you will find Umuezeokeoha there. You guys are just arrogant invaders. You are wrong but you always want all the sympathy https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_villages_in_Benue_State Igboid: |

calyto: Don't be silly. Ezza villages in Benue state are well documented. How hard is it for you minorities to acknowledge that? See you lots atrocities in Makurdi and Oturkpo against Igbos during the pogrom in the North is still fresh on our minds. Millions of Igbos escaped the far North only to be ambushed by you hateful lots in Benue and killed to appease your Hausa Fulani overloards. Don't ever think we have forgotten your role in spilling innocent Igbo blood during the darkest period of our history. If you try nonsense with those Igbo communities in Benue state, you will pay big time. Abba Moro went there because he is a politician and only cares about the people votes, he isn't there to settle any dispute, quit chatting trash. https://www.google.com/amp/s/thenationonlineng.net/agony-igbos-benue/amp/ 1 Like |

calyto: Well since you like quoting Wikipedia, look at what they said in the table below of indigenous languages spoken in the Local governments of Benue. It clearly says that Igbo is spoken as an indigenous language in Ado and Oju LGA's 1 Like 1 Share

I think you deserve a big knock for being unimaginably dull. Who are the minorities? Who documented what and which Local govt in Benue are the Ezzas? Who is the local govt chairman and why? See, up until this moment, there are still shells of bombs from your useless soldiers which was unprovoked. We never wanted to take sides even during the war until you guys started bombarding and sending our mothers and kids to hide in bunkers. That was when we decided to take a side because you guys were trying to take Benue by force. It is that minority talk that will kii you finally because Biafra is a mirage and Ado people have taken note of your stance. This is why you guys can't win any body's sympathy. You are wicked to yourselves, not to talk of non tribes. Even this your Ezza settlers that you are making noise about, it is a Rev Fr(Solomon Ujah) who is trying now to raise funds from Idomas to build a bridge so that you guys will not have to swim before you get to your mumu Ebonyi state who still don't value you Igboid: |

Igboid: But other minorities like Igala are not considered the original inhabitant or owners of their land in the east. My usual problem with an ipobian is their lack of sincerity and double standard. I don't know for other minorities sharing borders with the Igbos, I'm 120% sure that no sane IGALA or IDOMA will cede with Biafra. Why can't we have our own country? |

[sup][/sup] sissoko22: The story of how Igalas came to be found in Northern fringes of Igbo land is well known and documented. It was a story of invasion of indigenous Igbo groups there by Igala people using superior weapons access to the Islamic transaharan trade availed them. Igala warlords like Onoja Oboli, Ajida all marched down to hapless agrigarian Igbo communities wrecking havoc. Before weapon proliferation happened and those Igbo communities fought back and now have to share the land with Igalas. I'm not Ipobian and I have no desire of sharing Biafra with any minority. The atrocities the Idoma and Tiv committed against Igbo civilians who escaped the pogrom of far North only to be ambushed and massacred by Idomas and Tivs in Benue, who then went on to constitute the bulk of the footsoldiers for the Hausa Fulani Army who invaded Biafra and brought death to our homeland is still fresh on my mind. The only thing I think of when I think of Idoma and Tiv is REVENGE. You lots owe us BIG TIME. Many of us want to move on and let KARMA take its course on you, but you lots are making that difficult. IPOB is senseless talking of forming a country with you lots. No sensible Igbo man who knows his history would think of that nonsense. The right thing would be to make sure we reclaim by all means all our Lands and people in Benue and the erect a big ball between us and you lots to ensure none of you would be able to escape when your Fulani masters come for you. 1 Like |

gidgiddy: Do you mean Amotekun should be sent to Kogi and Edo States since Yoruba is spoken there Or to protect Itsekiri in Delta State? Think carefully and don't be foolish! Once Civilization is above the Village level you can no longer engage in a Tribal free for all Imagine if Igala Militias insist on protecting Northern Anambra and Enugu States isn't that too disrespectful? |

Ethnomusicolist Charles Keil, who was visiting Nigeria in 1966, recounted: "The pogroms I witnessed in Makurdi, Nigeria (late Sept. 1966) were foreshadowed by months of intensive anti-Ibo and anti-Eastern conversations among Tiv, Idoma, Hausa and other Northerners resident in Makurdi, and, fitting a pattern replicated in city after city, the massacres were led by the Nigerian army. Before, during and after the slaughter, Col. Gowon could be heard over the radio issuing 'guarantees of safety' to all Easterners, all citizens of Nigeria... But the intent of the soldiers, the only power that counts in Nigeria now or then, was painfully clear. After counting the disemboweled bodies along the Makurdi road I was escorted back to the city by soldiers who apologized for the stench and explained politely.. that they were doing me and the world a great favor by eliminating Ibos." Igboid: Calyto. The above is the debt your people in Benue (Idoma, Tiv, Igede) own Ndiigbo. One we have not forgotten. Those Igbos your people murdered, their children have grown to adults and have children too. The stories have been retold from father to son and there is a bottled up anger and desire for revenge. Don't start what you can't finish by trying to meddle into issues of Igbo speaking communities indigenous in Benue state. You might not like the reactions you will trigger. |
