Any v6 car or suv are suitable for long journey . But if you want my suv recommendation , look for 4runner

V6 doesn't consume fuel while on long journey ....the fuel efficiency while on long journey us superb. Ensure you buy a car with catalyst...whether 4 plug or v6 without catslyst it just consume fuel . If you are buying tokunbo , ensure you go along with experience mechanic and a panel beater to enable you go underneath to check if the catalyst is intact ....so many criminals steal and make hell if money from it
