please gurus in the house please advise me on what should I use as alternative atf for my 08 CR-V.i have been using DW 1 but I'm afraid it's getting too expensive for me.i used to buy it for 3500 but now it's above 6000.plus I need 5 1ltres cans.although I see some online at 2500-3000 but I suspect they are not original. for my engine oil I last used any good 5w30.please advice as my car is overdue for service.

Bros transmission oil is not meant to be replaced very servicing or even yearly... if you can't afford quality ATF for your car.. please leave whatever ATF you have in the the car, the gear will be fine.

Really? I thought I need a change every service? .so gear oil can stay in the car for 5 years? what if there is a shortage?

You mean you change your transmission fluid every service? You need to arrest that mech of yours cos I believe he only collects your money and shows you empty cans of fluids claiming he used them. You don't change transmission fluids like your engine oil. You do that after 100,000kms. That's 5yrs for an average normally used car

I haven't changed mine in over a year now. That's after changing it when I bought the car. You should read your Car's instruction booklet sometimes too
