As i write this message, the only hopes left in me for life are frustration, given up on life, doing it the hardest and wicked ways and perhaps just putting everything to an end through suicide.

It's been six years of unemployment after my graduation on 6th June 2014 from the University of Ghana, Legon.

Well I know someone out there reading this, will probably say I am lazy and did not try alternatives(self-employment) but that is not the case my people.

I started searching for job during my National Service but I never found one. I spent another one year after service searching for job but found none. I then decided to enroll for a professional course in IT for a year with high hopes I will secure a job after but still, I found none. With my IT skills, I pulled together a few friends to start an IT company which we legally registered at the Registrar General Department and operated for 3 years.

My motivation for starting the company was to employ myself and in the nearest future provide jobs for other young Ghanaians should my company sustain but we failed brutally and the company has collapsed. It's been 5 months of job searching again after my company collapse.

I became so excited when I heard about the army officers enlistment for 2020, I said to myself 'this is my last chance' and this must happen this time around but I became much more frustrated upon realizing people above age 26 do not qualify to apply. You can imagine how old I am now after all these years of hustling.

Now I feel my world is fading away and I really do not have a life. I feel my world is behind me now and my fears for tomorrow are getting bigger and bigger each day.

So I ask a few questions

Is it my fault I am unemployed or someone’s fault?

Am I truly lazy not to have tried enough?

Will my children ever have a better life someday?

As I write this message, the only hopes left in me for life are frustration, given up on life, doing it the hardest and wicked ways and perhaps just putting everything to an end through suicide.

Unemployment is very rife in Ghana and Nigerians are going there to hustle. If you really acquired indemand IT skills, getting a good paying job should honestly not be too difficult. Tech is the new oil.

Enjoli5, I've only 2 things to say to answer your questions.

*Firstly, it's the strength of what we know, we reign in life!

According to you, you learnt an IT skills. If you are very sound in any IT skills and you understand the business(money making) behind the skills, not only will you survive(never no lack) you'll also thrive(have more than enough to be an helper to folks around you).

*Secondly, A (wo)man can receive nothing except it's giving to him and Favour is the number one reason people succeed!

I implore you to use some weeks/months to mediate on your life(Past, Present and Future) cause Wisdom is activated through Meditation.

Ciao!

I want to categorically tell you that the only fault in your life today is Nigeria. Again, you are not lazy.

Btw, I also graduated 2014, and am yet to get a job. So, you are not alone. Just keep the hope alive; your children will definitely have a better life someday.

Are you single? Perhaps we can become friends and fall in love. Age is also not on my side. Suicide is not an option. There's still a lot of good stuffs on the way.

Aint you the same girl who opined that all african men are unpleasant in some other thread? Of course it is your rude behaviour that is hindering you from getting a job. This has proven beyond all reasonable doubt that many female users on this platform who exhibit rude behaviours are just unemployed and have nothing to offer.

I pity the simps who would employ/marry such human being who has zero social manners.

Unemployment is caused by our leaders and corruption. How can oba of Lagos have 2 million dollars in his palace? Secondly in Africa you must start doing illegal stuff to make it, legal stuff don't pay anymore.
