don't mind the fool. Lulu isn't Ogboni member. To most people, all rich and affluent men in Kalabari is an Ogboni member.

This is Calabar culture

Ijaw culture, Kalabari clan to be precise. Some of you confuse Kalabari with Calabar. Calabar is a city in Cross river state and Kalabari are a people found mainly in Rivers state.

Chief Mrs Seinye wasn't Dumo's ex girlfriend but they knew each other as acquaintance and did few businesses that's all,its true that Dumo introduces her to his dad but she never knew Dumo had some dirty motives and mummy Seinye refused to play the game with Dumo because she was loyal and loved her husband that was when wahala started. There are things I can't type here

Okay. Abeg give me connect to join Moni Pulo or meet nice Mrs Seinye. Waiting to hear from you.

Anty calm down na.
Seinye wanted all of Lulu's wealth to herself, she even lied that Lulu said she should bury him after his death which is a fat lie because in Abonnema/Kalabari, once u are a Chief, ur burial isn't just one persons burial, its a community burial, the Chiefs will be the one that will even welcome his corpse from the morgue.

She loved her husband but couldn't wait for his will, she wanted everything to herself.
Next time u see Seinye, sit her down and ask her why would a Chief agree that she should bury him alone which isn't the Kalabari culture.
Though legally married, Seinye had no child for Lulu Briggs. After his death, she knew it will be difficult for her to take all his wealth cos he has children but wanted the wealth for herself and she start causing chaos.

She was not able to attend his burial because the people of Abonnema has promised to woo her if she mistakenly attend the burial, Do not believe what she tells ur mom, come to Kalabari land and ask what really happened.

Seinye is a big criminal

I am a Yoruba man but I know much about Moni Pulo. I also know about the crisis before Chief had stroke and after. Chief fought many business battles to create the wealth. The battle of OPL 230 which later became OML 114 with Baker Hughes , Brass Unlimited and others was spectacular. Chief fought other business battles before OML 114 but their yields were small. The battle between Chief and some of his children was also in the public domain several years back.

In Yoruba culture , it would be very difficult for a woman to claim ownership of the wealth of a man of that height without any child for the man. Again, what was the relationship between the Children and Chief ?

Chief Deinde Fernandez was quickly buried by his last wife abroad. She is not a Nigerian, Fernandez lived and died abroad. The Olumegbon Chieftancy family in Lagos initiated legal and diplomatic moves to bring the corpse and repatriate the wealth home, they did not succeed. Also, when Bobby Benson died, the last wife claimed he gave her all his properties and it was in the Will. The Benson Family is a great family with famous Lawyers. We all know what happened. In such family, that is not possible.

A woman claimed she inherited all the wealth of a high chief and later promised to give some percentage to the children out of sympathy , then the problem is with the Kalabari people. What happened to the family members, the council of chiefs and the royal house ? What about the Societies ? Nobody should tell me chief did not belong to any society. They should have met with chief when he was alive since they know the marriage had legal backing. Something is wrong somewhere.

My father had a situation where he was forced to have a legal marriage with one of his wives when he had stroke. Family, Chiefs and Societies called him after the elaborate marriage and decided to know the fate of his other children. One of the members of his societies and best friend was a signatory to the WILL. The woman and the children stole all the documents and even refused to appear in court when the Will was read. They have sold and transferred about 90% of the properties and become rich.

Women are hardened when it comes to inheritance but DUMO also had ulterior motives.

When we tell men not to accept polygamy, they do as they like, if the man had only one woman everything would have been settled. How can a man be buried two years , it doesn't even make sense!!

When people hate a thing, then they blame all misfortunes on that thing!

Ojukwu had only one wife; yet, when he died, there were issues between Bianca and his son. So what's your point?

Isaac in the bible had one wife, there was still issues in the home concerning inhetitance! So, what's your point again?

If you hate polygamy, just say so! There was a lady who told me marriage is not good because you will die early, and she actually meant it! So the question is: is it marriage that is not good, or that is just her opinion?

If you have issues with polygamy, that's fine! But try not to pass your opinion as fact! There are those who hate democracy, capitalism, communism, etc and there is nothing wrong with that!

But of course, this will not change your mind but i am not bothered because i did not write this for you, but for those who actually care about knowing how things are.

@thelinguist and all who care about fair judgement:

The people mentioned up there, did they marry more than one wife? Yet, there issues about their inheritance.

@babaolofin, what society did you dad belong to, if you care to mention.

This is not about polygamy, it's about wealth and one person wanting all to themselves.
What about FRA Williams, sey it's one wive yet they had their issues after his death if not the Yoruba elders called them to order it was going almost this way
As for Zzor,I have said it before that some of us here are inner inner circle and understand what transpired even from the very on set when am sure Seinye wasn't a friend to your mum (in the 70's o) and
like what richmond said,do not take one side of the story,I know both side well, my dad was a good friend of Opuda since the early 70's and we all know what transpired as soon as Seinye appeared at the scene. I will leave it at this but thread carefully with Seinye will remain my best advice

Don't mind him!
Isaac in the bible had only one wife yet there were issues about his inheritance blessings.
Ojukwu died and Bianca had issues with his son.

People have their issues with polygamy and they just won't say so.

but a rich man with one wife fairs better with a rich man with many wives. Polygamy is bad.. Handling a woman sef na work for me, how do people handle three /four woman? Yes wealth comes with its problems, but when you add many wife's, thw problems multiples!

Just talk say for you, and no one is forcing you into anything! If anyone forces you into polygamy, call me and i will defend you in court, you don't have to pay me.

There is no evidence to show that a rich man will fare any better.

Ojukwu was rich; Isaac, the father of jacob, was rich; and all the other men who had one wife and who people have mentioned here were rich, yet there were issues when they died. So....?

@babaolofin, what society did you dad belong to, if you care to mention.

From your various submissions here, you are not matured and intellectually exposed enough for an answer to your last question. Ojukwu had children from two women before Bianca, yet you are classifying his scenario under monogamy. If you don't know about the cases (Deinde Fernandez and Bobby Benson ) which I mentioned in my post, you are either a lazy youth or under the classification I mentioned at the beginning. When you look deep, each had circumstances which one way or the other is similar to Chief's situation.

Those situations just created problems. You have not seen anything, after the burial, then the real battle begins.

monogamy
/məˈnɒɡəmi/
noun
the practice of marrying or state of being married to one person AT A TIME.
"Judaism has journeyed from polygamy to strict monogamy"

please take note of what i posted in capital letters then tell me how Ojukwu's case is not monogamy, since you say i am not intellectually up to it.

Also, i do not know the chief, did he have more than one wife at the same time?

Please you can also look here for other definitions of monogamy and show how Ojukwu's case doesn't fit into it.

As for the last question i asked, it is okay if you do not tell me.

Richmond you have indeed proved yourself to be a true kalabari man with wealth of knowledge. He actually adopted a son and named him Onimim Lulubriggs. I read up on him and saw sensitive documents as well. Although there in the public domain now tho.
