Hello All,
WES ECA is about to expire,Please how can I get an evaluation with a valid date.
If one requests a duplicate copy of ECA from WES, they will issue a document having the date the duplicate copy was done but still mention the date the original assessment which will be more than 5 years.
I don't know if IRCC accepts the duplicate copy. Or shoild have to do a new assessment all over? (Now in trying to do a new assessment via WES for the same certificate without any addition , once you put in your details , they will say you cannot do a new one since they have your data in their system.
Please can someone advise on what is to be done?
Thank you.

My transcript was sent last week during the strike , my colleague does it within one week and sends it but it is triple the price . He did for most all my class set .

Can your colleague still help? The person helping out for mine has been saying that there is nothing he can because of the strike.

Hello guys,
I requested to add a new born to my application and I got an ADR for her documents to be uploaded.

Alongside I saw two placeholders requesting for degrees to be uploaded again. Should I upload same documents on both placeholders?. I really don’t understand

Whatever you've got to do, you've got to do fast as age isn't on your side no more. As from 40yrs, you're going to start losing 10points till 44yrs (while the remaining 5points accruable from age is lost at 45yrs) as against the 5/6points being lost between age 30-39yrs. So, from the foregoing, your spouse obviously isn't in a good stead to be the PA anymore as he doesn't have any points left to earn from age at 45.

My recommendation is that you need to be the PA, wait and evaluate your Masters only and max-out IELTS at LRWS = 8.5, 8, 7.5, 7.5. Start learning French asap and plan to write TEF Canada in 8-10months time to achieve a CLB 7. You can earn additional/bonus 50points from that feat in addition to the regular 16 12 points awarded for a CLB 7. Your spouse can then augment your score with max 20points from 8777 IELTS score as a secondary applicant. Evaluating your spouse's BSc is also a source of additional CRS points but you might not be needing that in the end depending on the prevalent CRS cut-off by the time you're finally in the pool.

As an alternative to TEF, SINP is a great option to explore, especially if you have a sibling in Sask to claim 20 awesome points that can shoot you way above 70points with respect to SINP's eligibility grid. But this is if your NOC isn't included in the SINP's list of excluded occupations. OINP is almost out of reach as you need to accumulate at least 460 CRS points while in the EE pool.. You will get more valuable information on Page 1.

Wishing you all the best now!

Hello good people. Goodevening to you all.
I just started following this thread. I will really appreciate a breakdown of the process for me as I am yet to understand the whole application process. I have tried reading from the beginning, but it seems like too much information to process. Please see below my details:

Age: 31
Degree: LLB, BL
Work Experience : 8 years
Spouse Age: 37
Spouse Degree: B.eng and PGD
Spouse work Experience: 10 years
Kids: 1

I will like to know the following: What are my chances with the above information? what score do I target for Ielts? how do I get extra points from my Spouse? and most importantly, where do I start from, if I want to get an ITA soon? Thank you

Please can my wife use CES to evaluate her law degree instead of IQAS because of delays? And also please does CES use ETX, because we just found out Unilorin uses etc. Thanks

Very good advice. As stated, please take French seriously. It has made a great deal of difference for me. I was able to get an extra 68 points which feels like gold since I am over 40. It took about 16 months for me to pass though (after repeated failures), but the trick is not to give up. Also completion of your Msc will give you additional points. Please enter the pool once you have your Ielts and degree evaluation, regardless of whether your CRS is low.
All the best!

Please under what circumstance can one select under the education part ( 2 year program at a university, college, trade, or technical school) while calculating CRS? I'm asking because my spouse has a certificate from his trade school.

Please, married ladies in the house, how did you do your WES evaluation? What name should a married lady register on WES platform with? especially when your certificate bears your maiden name, while you have a passport bearing your marital name?

Again, what would you do when a middle name is omitted by the University on your Certificate? I hope it doesn't invalidate this mission? (i.e Certificate bears only first name and lastname, whereas Passport bears First, middle, and lastname(marital))?

Please oooo, I've been looking for who to buy dollar from at a good rate or transfer to my dom account. I got an offer of N450 from the US last Friday but waa thinking it was high as I don't really have much. Now I'm ready, the person has used up the money (don't know how sincere he is sha).

Is there anyone here who would be kind enough to help at that rate?

For your first question, i used the name on my passport but my school attached my change of name with my transcript. In your report it would still show different names shaae. There's no problem so far you have your affidavit of change of name and all

If he was indeed sincere, it was a very very good offer. Parallel market offers it at about N485, if not more, with the way things are falling apart. Whatever you do, be careful ma'am!

Pls advise is appreciated.

It’s same as master degree If evaluated by iqas, 23point, select masters

Read here, it seems WES know about the 5 year IRCC rule and I would assume the new date of the "duplicate" copy will be a recent date (not 5years ago).

https://www.wes.org/advisor-blog/how-to-renew-your-eca-report/

To be 100% sure, why not send them a mail asking specifically about what date the duplicate will carry.

Please anyone here that can help clarify something.

Trying to apply for SINP but saw this on the website

“ Your above work experience must be in the field of your completed post-secondary education or training”

So we that studied a particular course and working in a different field don’t qualify right “?

Hello Everyone,

I'm a single 29 year old (30 by May) with IELTS band score of 8 and CRS score of 478 and I entered the pool March 3rd and got a mail saying that I'm a candidate the following day. Recently, Job bank has being mailing me that employers have been inviting me to apply for jobs but I know twill be a dead end by the time I got to the interview phase ao I didn't bother to respond. I don't know what else to do. I really want to relocate asap.

Kindly advise me.
Thanks.

All you'll need to do is wait for the next draw. I believe you'll get invited in the second FSW all program draw as the first will likely have a really high cut-off. While waiting begin to gather your documents (work reference letters, proof of funds and appointment for medicals among others )

Is her law degree an LLM or LLB? If it's an LLM, I'll advise you go with WES cos it's faster.

Some peeps here used CES to evaluate their LLB and received a Professional degree evaluation.

Your chances are good but you have to act now!
Be the principal applicant
Evaluate your LLB with IQAS (or CES) to get a Professional degree evaluation
Max the IELTS General (aim for CLB10)

Your spouse
Evaluate his/her B.Eng and PGD with WES
Max out the IELTS

If you both complete these before your next birthday, you'd have a CRS score of around 473

In the bank transfer? Something like 'Gift to my lovely son/daughter' grin

But really the narration in the bank transfer does not really matter. Just have a proper Gift deed prepared in the right format

No one even on canada visa has been able to give a concrete response on this. Some people contacted IRCC to verify but received generic response.
