Ogun Governor Dapo Abiodun has narrated how he had sleepless nights while the two female students of Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU) Ayetoro campus were in the captivity of abductors.

Adeyemo Precious and Oyefule Abiola studying Forestry and Wildlife Management and Agricultural Economics respectively were abducted around 9pm on Sunday when gunmen attacked Igbole Aibo Quarters of Ayetoro in Yewa North Local Government Area.

The students were however rescued safely on Tuesday evening through the coordinated efforts of the security agencies.

The news of their release was broken by the Governor late Tuesday night on his twitter handle.

Speaking when the girls were brought to Oke Mosan Governor’s Office Abeokuta on Wednesday by the Police, Abiodun said he was personally touched by their plights.

He said as a father and a governor, he had to work round the clock to ensure their safe return.

The Governor, who spoke through the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Abdulwaheed Odusile, added he activated all the security apparatuses in the State and tasked them on quick and safe rescue of the girls.

He expressed happiness they were back unhurt and commended Ogun Police Command and other security agencies for their swift response and subsequent safe rescue of the OOU girls.

According to him, there will be security beef up security in all schools across the state.

Asked whether any ransom was paid before the students were freed, he said no money was paid to anybody.

Health Commissioner, Dr. Tomi Coker, said the rescued students have been subjected to medical examinations, stressing none of them showed any health concerns but assured they have been vaccinated accordingly.

You dey mind dem werey people...instead of supporting Sunday Igboho and other Odudua forces to put an end to fulani terrorism in Odudualand so that another one like the several before this one would never occur again, they are busy decieving the people with a sleeplessness story to gain cheap sympathy.
AfonjaFirstSon:
[s]Let us embrace peace and harmony in this our country for once. how can we Yorubas fight against each other, when we supposed to confront Fulani herdsmen, who have showed us pepper in our ancestral land.

Our brothers and sisters who ran to Benin Republic for the fear of Fulani herdsmen have not even returned. we are praying and fasting for them to return back to their families in peace.

What about our brothers who ran to our neighboring country Togo, nobody knows if they are eating or not. we beg our brothers to love one another, so that our country can move forward.

This is not in our culture and should not be tolerated. we call our Yoruba elders to help settle the matter so that peace can return to our Region.

One Nigeria.
[/s]
Is it not the same terror-funding jihadists from the emirate north who has relentlessly ruined this zoo as presidents, governors, ministers, senators, legislators, commissioners, deputies, general-comptrollers, chief of army staffs, who are also the same fanatics responsible for the breeding, indoctrination, conditioning of the al-Majiri into an islamists population throughout Sharialands and their unchecked influx into the middle belt and southern regions, who are also responsible for the creation and sustainment of these criminal gang groups in the South called cultists

Everyone knows you are a fulani black arab baztard mongrel. Keep decieving yourself thinking you are representing the Yorubas with your obvious disguise. Who aske you to express the feelings of the Yoruba people? Asking Yorubas to do one thing while at the same time using mocking them for how running to Togo and Benin. For your information, Yorubas didn't ran, they took refuge with their ilk and family there. Yourba kingdoms extend to various places in what is in today's Ghana, Togo and Benin. Yorubas have generations of their people in those areas for centuries before the Europeans came to partition Africa for their imperial interest and even long before your landless fulani-arab forefathers invaded this continent with your foul breathe. Fulani thieves want to claim ancestral lands of the natives in the name of Islam as made possible under Nigeria. Tell all your Hausa-fulani mongrels, miscreants and baztards who continue to troop into our ancestral lands to note that everyone is now waking up as nobody wants to be on this 2014-expired zoo anymore. Once the country deamalgamate, you mongrels have no reason to pepertrate jihad and terrorism under the cover of any aboki government you all have enjoyed while it lasted. Our lands will be purified from all your vile existence and volatile way of living.

Good ... But I do not believe the "Rescued" aspect. When did security agencies become US Navy SEALs? Just tell us that you paid ransom. We understand sha. After all, 8% of your people are already on exile with others to follow. So a little ransom payment here and there to save face would help.
