Idiko1: Most ridiculous statement ever. Bros, if you are not from Owerri side in Imo state but abandoned your native hometown because of neglect by government, and living in Owerri, adopted Owerri side as your new hometown, you are a compound fool. No Nsukka man or Nnewi man can ever say Enugu or Awka respectively, is his hometown. 1 Like |

Idiko1: Rochas Okorocha you gleefully refer to as Rochas Okoroawusa was solely responsible for rapid urban expansion of your Owerri hometown within 8 years. That urban expansion must be reason why you say people from Okorocha‘a area and other parts of Imo state should see Owerri as their new home. You speak heresy. Many of you have no atom of GOODWILL for others in the other two senatorial zones that are supposed to have been sharing urban development by government in near equal proportions with Owerri. But your people want everything good from government in Imo state for only Owerri. You pressure every governor to build flyovers, tunnels, skyscrapers, underground car park, boulevards, airport, in Owerri. Perhaps you pressure for underground metro transportation system in Owerri soon, since traffic jam is biting harder on Owerri these days. You give no thought that other parts of your state are being flooded, eroded and have no good roads in them. |

@Idiko1, What do you people of Owerri side think state capital means, other than the seat of government of a state? Too many state capitals are less developed than other cities in the same state in many states in and out of Nigeria. Nigeria’s constitution did not stipulate that governors must develop the state capital more than other areas of the state. And you want people of Imo state to have Owerri as their new home. |

onuman: Ogbeni, people here are not the ones making decisions on where to develop and where not to develop. If you feel things should be done differently, use the appropriate channels to contact the state government. This platform enables us to track development; nobody decides where projects will be sited here. So stop disturbing us! 1 Like |

SmartPolician: Leave you as you use this platform to clamour for IMSG to build skyscrapers in Owerri because capital cities, according to folks like you, have skyscrapers as skyline, while there is no common pipe borne water supply system in your Imo state? Who are the us? You half-baked literate who believes he can blackmail another with silly statements. Your forebears from Owerri side ensured during the military era that all institutions of government that spur development in a state were located in Owerri side. That led to population flow from other parts of the state into Owerri. Therefore, successive governors have to grapple with urban explosions in Owerri. You don’t give a fcuck about the other places in Imo state outside the state capital. |

onuman: Indeed, common sense is really not common. Now that I stated that, has the government started doing it? Abeg try get sense small and use the right channel to get the government to address issues that matter to you. I will ignore "half-baked literate" so I don't stoop to your level of idiocy. PS: I won't reply you again |

rtdCivilservant: rtdCivilservant, IkengaAwo, it could also be you that I was responding to all along. I learnt that protection of your Ashawo pimpingg business in your state capital is reason why you use several handles to canvass on social media for Owerri-one-city town in your state. Only in Imo state can someone be called mad by people of your sort as the person clamors for even spread of modern development in a state. And you see yourself to be sane. |
Re: Few Pics From Imo State by Idiko1: 1:11pm On Mar 19, 2021 |
onuman: I guess by your silly logic, Enugu State or Anambra State are not home to Nsukka or Nnewi man respectively. I am a village man and continue to singlehandedly put effort to develop my village. I shall not be foolish enough to protest the state government to stop developing the state capital. 1 Like |
Re: Few Pics From Imo State by Idiko1: 1:17pm On Mar 19, 2021 |
onuman: It is very unfortunate you termed anybody who disagrees with your silly plank of argument is from Owerri. Owerri is the capital of Imo State and any development in the state must start or receive the first consideration. If you do not like unwritten rule, you can petition to have the Imo State capital removed from Owerri. Okoroawusa is nothing but a glorified thief. |
Re: Few Pics From Imo State by Idiko1: 1:24pm On Mar 19, 2021 |
onuman: It is funny to watch you wail on internet over an issue you have made no effort to change. I guess you know the meaning of state capital better than the people of Owerri. I beg you to change the scenario or better even remove the state capital from Owerri. If you have not even approached the officials at the HQ of your backwater LGA to petition the removal of state capital from Owerri, you are worse than what I had in mind for you. Bro you are free as air to even change your home state. |
Re: Few Pics From Imo State by onuman: 1:34pm On Mar 19, 2021 |
Idiko1: In bold: Meaning of state capital is seat of government, but poorly educated people like you in your Imo state see state capital as place where all governors must concentrate on urban development and expansion and make practically all of you in the state to see Owerri as your new hometown. For the umpteenth time; there are too many states with capital territory less developed than other cities in the same state. You people in Imo state convert your governors to Mayor of state capital. The governors build a few fancy roads and houses in the Imo state capital, and ignore rest of your state. You celebrate mediocrity online. |
Re: Few Pics From Imo State by onuman: 1:45pm On Mar 19, 2021 |
Idiko1: In bold: Any development in Imo state must start in the capital territory? You continue to exhibit ignorance of what state and its development process are all about? This is why folks ignorant like you in Imo state insist that all federal and state universities and other development institutions in Imo state must be in Owerri side because of state capital. You agree. What’s the difference between you and the man you referred to as Okoroawusa who built every landmark in Imo state in Owerri side during his eight years as governor? |
