I thought the debacle has been settled, because Rochas gave him that land and also gifted Former ministry of works to Everyday supermarket, which they just opened few months ago.

Have you read the white paper? They specifically mentioned Market Square Supermarket along Orlu road, Rochas Foundation College, Orji and the Diasporan Estate along Okigwe road as lands illegally allocated by Rochas.

I haven't read the whole report, but I know for sure that the diaspora estate and market square is not owned by Rochas , so there will be some kind of settlement, nobody is gonna loose a pin bro, all na political grandstanding

In essence Owerri should have remained constrained to Douglas and Ikenegbu without expansion. Okorocha creating alternative routes and reclaiming eroded lands for roads and estates is a positive development and masterplan is subject to adjustment by a Governor based on peculiarity of his time. Both Udenwa and Ohakim also modified masterplan but this whitepaper said their own followed due process whereas that of Okorocha didn't. One cannot say that removal of mechanics from Orji and Naze moving them to a more organized place at Avu caused increased flooding. In all my view remains that Imo will be better if Uzodinma continues with Okorocha's already manifesting plans while adding his own modifications than working hard to kill them and start afresh

But these Imo people who discuss Owerri only in their threads, are they cursed, dwarfed in brain stems or bribed by their most corrupt political leaders to see only Owerri as their state?
Each time one visits the thread here, it’s the same story. Leadership is not the main reason for the ever sick Imo state; followership is the major problem.

Your hometown must be this only one place they talk about in Imo state here.

When nearly every Nigerian starts to take pride in discussing only Abuja and what government and private are doing in Abuja, as little or no activity goes on outside Abuja, Nigeria’s leaders must have made Nigeria become a banana republic before then.

Kai Kai man.

What has my family got to do with here?
Educated illiterate.
That’s why bad followership - poorly educated followership - allowed your leaders to fleece your state and make your state a one town state.

Orlu road is currently in works and their is huge gas project going on there, with the addition of a refinery. So all the complain about Owerri is hogwash. You guys are sounding like a broken record. The development in Owerri has surpassed Owerri to many other LGA. So quit this only Owerri mantra. Stop crying more than the bereaved.

That's one strange thing about political apologists.
What's all the fuse about owerri when there are other projects going on in Okigwe and orlu?

I'm equally surprised as they are, that the jinx is about to be broken. Definitely not from my favorite as the frontier. But we can't help it.

errm that huge gas project is in ohaji not orlu ( I know it is under orlu zone but that person doesn't consider that area orlu)
Re: Few Pics From Imo State by Kelechi121: 10:22am On Mar 15, 2021
The fact is that the refinery and gas plant is in Orlu zone, there are no ifs and buts, fact is fact. Every imolite has a stake in Owerri, we in imo state are not parochial, I have never seen anybody from Orlu complain about Owerri, it is always from someone who doesn’t have a stake in imo state. Now they are spreading misinformation that it is only one town that is developed in imo state, when development has cut across multiple LGA.

How can u be more afflicted than the affected. We see Owerri as our home as well and Orlu have ruled the state for the longest. Please let’s continue discussion about IMO state without this constant interjection.

Orlu road under reconstruction?
So Lagos-Ibadan express road under reconstruction is Ibadan road?
The half-baked education synonymous with most of you people out there is reason why the few smart ones fleece your state and make your state a one town state. Name any Nsukka man who can say that he is content with Enugu as his home while Nsukka is bush?
Or any Ngwa man who shall say he is content with having Umuahia as his home while Aba is abandoned by government?
Orlu people you say are happy with having Owerri as their home. You invented the happiness to suit your chicken mind.

Imolite are light years ahead of you and your parochial mindset. Orlu worth is more than those places you mentioned, we have a nearly billion dollar investment and a thriving refinery. There is no senatorial zone that has attracted more than that in recent times. I ask again why are u crying more than the bereaved?

The economic benefits of the refinery you mention goes to nearby Owerri, has no business with Orlu which is far from the refinery.
Ignorance is a disease that keeps most of you down in that state.

Mr man stop this your complain please, am from Ngor-Okpala, and we also have one or two things to complain about, but you guys from Orlu Zone don't have shame at all, from Udenwa to Rochas now Hope you guys are till complaining, did Owerri people put gun on their hand when they where in office? And for your information most development you see in Owerri are private not government, the new Refinery and the ASA gas project are majorly private, so you people should hold you leaders responsible not Owerri people.

Am giving you verifiable fact mr educated. Your liras doesn’t make it true.

OWERRI LANDS BOUGHT FOR A NAIRA, APPRECIATE LATTER.
Those people in Imo government up to 2011 before Okorocha government, are aplenty in today’s Imo government. They are now bent on extending township roads from Owerri center to the ends of Owerri, including your Ngor Okpala. Objective? To increase the value of the properties they acquired in Owerri and acquire more, as they don’t look back in extending roads even to your Ngor Okpala end, but no good roads in other parts of the state.
Land acquisition by government instruments which Okorocha is being accused of is going on today in another manner by government officials for landed properties they and friends acquired earlier, and more to acquire now.

The Imo politicians who are after their personal wealth are the shameless, not people from any particular area of Imo state.
