EFCC hands over Amosu’s $2.15m hospital to Air Force A hospital with medical equipment worth about $2.15m which was seized from a former Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Adesola Amosu (retd.), has been handed over to the Nigerian Air Force, The PUNCH has learnt. The hospital, St. Solomon Hospital, which is located on Adeniyi Jones Avenue, Ikeja, Lagos, is said to have state-of-the-art equipment including a Magnetic Resonance Imaging machine which costs well over $1m. https://www.postrendy.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/Chief-of-Air-Staff-Adesola-Amosu.jpg A reliable source at the EFCC told our correspondent that the EFCC could not manage the property and therefore decided to hand it over to the Nigerian Air Force medical unit. He said, “The hospital has very expensive equipment including an MRI machine which is very rare. However, we could not manage the hospital so we handed it over to the air force pending the outcome of Amosu’s trial. It is assumed that the money used in buying the hospital was stolen from the air force.” Other properties seized from Amosu included a house on Adeyemo Alakija Street, GRA Ikeja worth N250m; a duplex at House 11, Peace Court Estate, GRA Ikeja worth N110m; a N40m property located at NAF Harmony Estate, Asokoro base; a five-bedroomed house at Valley NAF Estate, Port Harcourt, worth N33m and a N95m house on Umaru Dikko Street, Jabi. The Federal Government has also commenced moves to seize Amosu’s house at 50 Tenterden Grove, NW41TH, London worth about £2m. Amosu as well as a former Chief of Accounts and Budgeting in NAF, Air Vice Marshal Jacob Adigun (retd.); and a former Director of Finance and Budget, Air Commodore Olugbenga Gbadebo (retd.), are currently standing trial before a Federal High Court for allegedly stealing N22.8bn from the coffers of the Nigerian Air Force between 2014 and 2015. The commission has seized 33 properties they allegedly bought with stolen funds. Documents made available to our correspondent showed that besides the hospital, the EFCC had seized plazas, schools, mansions, farms and a quarry from Amosun, Adigun and Gbadebo. While almost N2.835bn cash has been recovered from Amosu alone, Gbadebo has returned N190m. Adigun’s wife, returned some money as well. The document further stated that properties recovered from Adigun were worth N9.6bn. Calculations by our correspondent showed that the cash and assets which the air force men might forfeit permanently, add up to about N15bn which is more than three quarters of what they allegedly stole. They have, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges Source>>>>http://www.postrendy.com/efcc-hands-amosus-2-15m-hospital-air-force/ |

INTERACTIVE COURSE ADVISORY SYSTEM | (A CASE STUDY OF MATHEMATICAL SCIENCE DEPARTMENT FUDMA) INTERACTIVE COURSE ADVISORY SYSTEM (A CASE STUDY OF DEPARTMENT MATHEMATICAL SCIENCE AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY FUDMA) A PROJECT SUBMITTED TO THE DEPARTMENT OF MATHEMATICAL SCIENCES AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY, FACULTY OF SCIENCE, FEDERAL UNIVERSITY, DUTSIN-MA, KATSINA STATE, NIGERIA, IN PARTIAL FULFILMENT OF THE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE AWARD OF THE DEGREE OF BACHELOR OF SCIENCE[B.SC (HONS)] COMPUTER SCIENCE. AUGUST, 2016 DECLARATION I, -------------------------------- hereby declared that this Project work, titled Interactive Course Advisory System was carried out under the supervision of Mr. Isaiah Adebayo in the Department of Mathematical Science, Faculty of Science, Federal University, Dutsin-Ma. ABSTRACT Academic advising is a collaboration process between students and advisers, leading to the exchange of information that encourage the individual student to make responsible academic and career decisions. Due to rapid growth of the Department of Mathematical Sciences Federal University Dutsin-ma Katsina state over the past years, there have been complaints regarding the student advising process, thus leading to inadequate advice to the students. This research is to designed and implemented an academic decision support system to resolve the challenge noted from the existing system. The former system was manual (paper-based) and verbal. The proposed system when fully implemented will be completely paperless, since all forms of correspondence will be online. The system's goal includes: to minimize repetitive tasks performed by course advisers, to encourage students to adopt a proactive (have a positive mind) attitude towards advising, to make advising related information available to remote students in a single place in electronic form, and to minimize inconsistencies in the advising process. CINEMA BOOKING AND VIEWING | FREE FINAL YEAR PROJECTS CHAPTER ONE INTRODUCTION The continuous evolvement in the world of technology and the demand of constant change has made the world we live in today known as the communication age. Communication is not possible without the information to communicate. Therefore the approach for the Information and Communication technology (ICT) being rapidly adopted by many countries, has made it important to bring education programs up to speed. (Riyami, 2013) 1.1 Background Of The Study A real-time booking online system is a simple piece of computer technology that allows ones customer to instantly book and pay for products over the internet, without any intervention the customer’s part. Most online booking system are very simple to install, and relatively cheap to run. (Bookeasy, 2015) People love when things are made easy for them, reserving a good or service not different. A few of the many benefits that online booking systems offer companies are as follows. Customer convenience; Instead having to email or call a company (and most likely sit on hold), online reservations give customers the chance to reserve and access from anywhere. Speed; Remember the whole sitting on hold or waiting for email reply thing that was discussed. One’s customer won’t have to deal with that when reserving online. The online booking process is very quick and can be completed in a short period of time. Error reduction; When booking online, customers will be asked to validate information and to check to ensure the date/time/price of their reservation is correct. They will also receive an e-receipt so that they can their booking expense and information at hand. Minimize work load; Taking time to call through and respond to emails and voicemails can become tedious and time consuming. Online reservation handle all aspect of booking process including, gathering all information required, automatically updating inventory/availability, sending confirmation e-mails and much more. Secure online payment; RESERVE have the most secured online payment gateways. Allowing customers to pay for rentals and tours online will reduce cash slippage while ensuring a safe checkout experience for customers. (Reserve, 2013) There are Cinemas across the country which shows movies that are yet to be in the market for sale. Not only for that purpose, people do go there just to spend time out with friends, family or loved ones. But Katsina state being a very religious state have no cinema that shows religious educational programs. This will be a means of making the young, youth as well as the old get enlightened in a modernized way which will interest must people since it is more or less regarded as outing. There are many stations that have records of all these religious programs which will make it quite easy to obtain them for display. The system will be developed in such a way that it operations will meet the new approach of ICT which will enable it to stay competitive in the market and avert some of the problems facing by cinemas. https://www.postrendy.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/x.jpg CLICK HERE FOR COMPLETE MATERIAL>>>>>>http://www.postrendy.com/design-implementation-cinema-booking-viewing-free-final-year-projects/ |
ONLINE SHOPPING SYSTEM CHAPTER ONE INTRODUCTION BACKGROUND OF STUDY The online shopping system is one of the latest servicers most merchants in the western world are adopting. With this method, goods is ordered online and delivered to the customer. This is made possible through the use of electronic commerce system. Customers order what they wish to buy, and made payment either by e-payment or Cash on delivery,. So, the system designed in this project will enable customers go online and place order for their desired shopping needs . Due to the great increase in the awareness of internet and the technologies associated with it, several opportunities are coming up on the web. So many businesses and companies now venture into their business with ease because of the internet. One of such business that the internet introduced is an online shopping system. this delivery orders were placed over the phone, but there are many disadvantages to this system. It is possible for anybody to order any goods via the internet and have the goods delivered at his/her doorsteps. But while trying to discuss the transfer method of the goods and services, attention is focused on the payment mode. In other words, how possible is it to pay for goods and services via the internet? This then leads to the discussion of the economic consequences of digital cash. What are the implementations from the view point of economic? Since the world is fast becoming a global village, the necessary tool for this process is communication of which telecommunication is a key player. A major breakthrough is the wireless telephone system which comes in either fixed wireless telephone lines or the Global System of Mobile communication (GSM). What I propose is an online shopping system originally designed for Bilyaminu Supermarket in Dutsinma Local government area of Katsina state , The main advantage of this system is that it greatly simplifies the ordering process for both the customer and the merchant. Once an order is placed on the webpage that will be designed, it is placed into the database and then retrieved, in pretty much real-time, by a desktop application on the supermarket end. Within this application, all items in the order are displayed, along with their corresponding options and delivery details, in a concise and easy to read manner. This allows the shop employees to quickly go through the orders as they are placed and produce the necessary items with minimal delay and confusion. The greatest advantage of this system is its flexibility. Africa's largest cement company, Nigeria's Dangote Cement Plc, exported 0.4 million tonnes of cement to other countries in 2016, an increase of 54 per cent from the level shipped in 2015. The exports by Dangote, which also sold 8.6 million tonnes of the critical building material in other African countries last year, has ended the era of Nigeria's dependence on imports of cement, according to Dangote Cement's 2016 annual report. The company, one of the main companies controlled by Africa's richest man, Aliko Dangote, said its cement sales outside Nigeria last year were an increase of 54 per cent more on the amount sold in 2015. The exports from Nigeria is significant given that the nation used to be a net importer of cement. In 2011, Nigeria was one of the world's largest importers of cement, buying 5.1 million tonnes of foreign cement with huge impact on the country's balance of payments. The company's pan-African cement plants continued to perform well, contributing significantly to its turnover and profitability, said Chief Executive Officer Onne van der Weijde, who assured investors of better returns on their investment in Dangote Cement. "The new year has started well and we expect much higher profitability in Nigeria in 2017, even though we may not see the volume growth we achieved in 2016. I am confident that we will deliver an even stronger performance in 2017 as we increase market share and extend our reach across Africa." The economic challenges notwithstanding, Onne revealed that Dangote Cement achieved sales and revenue growth of 25 per cent and consolidated its position as Africa's leading producer of cement. While sales from Nigerian operations increased by 13.8 per cent to nearly 15.1 million tonnes at a growth rate far higher than the country's GDP, which fell in 2016, its total revenue leapt by 25.1 per cent to 615.1 billion Naira (about 1.95 billion US dollars). Earnings per share rose 4.5 per cent to 11.34 Naira and the dividend payout also increased significantly by 6.3 per cent to 8.5 kobo per share. Dangote Cement is Africa's leading cement producer with nearly 46 million tonnes of capacity across Africa. https://www.postrendy.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/cement.jpg https://www.postrendy.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/Dangote.jpg Source:::::http://www.postrendy.com/nigerias-dangote-cement-exports-400000-tonnes-2016/ |
Acting President Yemi Osinbajo and the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Walter Onnoghen yesterday articulated different opinions on corruption in the judiciary. They spoke at the ‘National Dialogue on Corruption’ organised by the Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption (PACAC), which held at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. Osinbajo blamed corruption on the way judges are appointed, arguing that there has been no well-structured system. He said the system must ensure that the recruitment process for judges, lawyers, clerks and other judicial workers is transparent and not on a man-knows-man basis. “Aside from the Department of State Services (DSS) investigation, there should be particular test and proper investigation of candidates to be appointed as judges. In some of the systems that we inherited, the United Kingdom, for instance, there is a process of almost 17 different tests before you can become a judge of the high court. According to the acting president, “we can tackle corruption if we adopt some of those best practices, including the general welfare and remuneration of judicial officers. Any judge accused of any infraction must be investigated and prosecuted through the National Judicial Council (NJC) to avoid political influence.” Onnoghen said: “The judiciary is battered left, right and centre. I will like us to realize that corruption thrives (or any other form of injustice) in a culture of impunity. Wherever you have a culture of impunity, you will have corruption. Because people believe I must have this. It must be this or nothing. It must be me and me alone. “So, they throw away the constitutional provisions that have been drafted to guide our daily activities, inter-governmental, inter-personal; they throw away the principles of rule of law. But the judiciary holds these principles in care because that is the only way by which you can ensure an orderly society and ensure the good and maintenance of democracy and justice for us. According to Onnoghen, “if we are to fight corruption then you fight the culture of impunity which is an attitudinal phenomenon, adhering strictly to the constitutional provision of the rule of law.” Chairman of the PACAC, Professor Itse Sagay said the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) and Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) are two agencies that seem not to be aware of the anti-corruption drive of the present administration. Sagay said in these agencies, the menace has become so deeply engrained in the system, that the people are not longer afraid of the consequences. https://www.postrendy.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/Acting-President-Yemi-Osinbajo-and-the-Chief-Justice-of-Nigeria-CJN-660x330.jpg SOURCE::::::: http://www.postrendy.com/acting-president-osinbajo-cjn-disagree-corruption-judiciary/ |
PART 1 :Shirk: associating partners in worship with Allaah Praise be to Allaah; we praise Him and seek His help and forgiveness. We seek refuge with Allaah from the evil of our own souls and from our evil deeds. Whomever Allaah guides will never be led astray, and whomever Allaah leaves astray, no-one will guide. I bear witness that there is no god but Allaah Alone, with no partners or associates, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His Slave and Messenger. Shirk - associating partners with Allaah This is the most serious of all prohibitions, according to the hadeeth narrated by AbuBakrah, who said: “The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: ‘Shall I not tell you of the most serious of the major sins?’ three times. We said, ‘Of course, O Messenger of Allaah!’ He said, ‘Associating anything in worship with Allaah . . .’” (Agreed upon; see al-Bukhaari, no. 2511, al-Bagha edition). Every other sin may be forgiven by Allaah, apart from shirk, which requires specific repentance, as Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “Verily, Allaah forgives not that partners should be set up with Him in worship, but He forgives except that (anything else) to whom He pleases . . .” [al-Nisaa’ 4:48] https://www.postrendy.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/isla.jpg Source:::::http://www.postrendy.com/1756-2/ |

The senator representing Akwa Ibom North-East Senatorial district, Bassey Akpan, was on Monday, sacked by a federal high court in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State from the Nigerian Senate. According to Premium Times, in a judgment delivered on Monday, the court ruled that Bassey Etim (also known as BAFIL), and not Akpan, was the authentic candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in the 2015 senatorial election in the state. The court said Akpan vied for the PDP governorship ticket in the state, and not for the party’s senate ticket, and ruled that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), should immediately issue a certificate of return to Etim, a former member of the Federal House of Representatives, and that the senate should swear him in as the senator representing the district. The court gave Akpan 90 days to refund all the money he has received as emoluments so far from the national assembly. Akpan, a former commissioner for finance during the administration of Godswill Akpabio, is the chairman, Senate Committee on Gas.
