I am interested, how to contact you? my current date is in Sept 2025 Godgivenchild: If you submitted your DS 160 for Lagos, and you don't mind still going for your interview this week. You can reach me. There's an appointment date that we want to cancel/reschedule. If you are fast enough, and with a strong network, you will be able to pick it. |

Pick any available date and request expedite, keep checking the calendar, some random dates still get released. It is luck, but you can still make it, deferring is a last option okezieemmanuel: Good morning,
I got an admission and I have paid for my F1 visa fee but the dates available are too far. My start date is August 25th.
Please what should I do?? |

sevis fee receipt is required to expedite according to the instructions, Oh I just saw someone say it wasn't needed. It is written there though Pacesetter2: @efetobore1980; @everyone
Please advise. I have applied for emergency appointment but yet to pay my SEVIS Fee. Is it advisable to proceed to pay now or should I wait till the application for expedited request is granted.
Thank you
P.S. Is it usual that there is no indication of the application permanently reflected on the AVITS portal. Please note I got a notice of submission but that was all. |

I saw a date in Abuja october '25, when i was switching locations every second to find dates, but it went quickly in like two seconds. Unfortunately checking that often will get your acct limited, as it happened to me. not sure what the best approach is to get dates but there are dates Ifemeze: Please does anyone know whether Abuja has released regular appointment dates recently |

you have to stop trying to access the page for a certain number of hours, it may be 24hrs to 72 hrs. I waited for 72hrs because I didn't want to take the chance of the clock restarting if i didn't wait long enough. I was able to login after that. officialchikzy0: Any idea on this issue? What can I do? |

oh, ok, thanks! I thought I had to pick a date first before I could expedite, My resumption is Aug 20 so I guess is within 60 days Teettyllayho: It's normal for everyone in Nigeria. There are no dates available for now. But I think you can apply for expedited appointment 60 days to your resumption date. |

Hi, I have been refreshing all day since yesterday and i keep getting no appointment available. The calender doesn't go beyond june talk more of 2026. Is this normal or is there some technical error? I am applying for F1 Efetobore1980: ** There are 2026 dates in Abuja that i can guarantee. If your profile is complete and you have done everything accordingly you should be able to pick it. After picking it then you apply for an emergency appointment under student .
** If you are finding it difficult to navigate the computer yourself and you have a friend or knows someone personally who wants to assist you with minimal fee then you can go ahead but they will eventually do what i have recommended on your behalf. No agent is going to sell another person's date for you that is not going to be possible. They can only find your own date for you.
I am not recommending it but if you are finding it difficult doing it yourself then approach someone you know personally. 👍 |

Hi this happened to me as well, I was able to resolve this and just got my money back. I went to first bank and submitted a complaint, I also reached out to them on twitter. The latter told me the transfer failed and the money was sent back to my bank after much pestering on my end. I used Opay, so I just disputed the transaction and sent them an email and they returned the money the next day. Babalom70: I have paid my visa fee last week Thursday and today is the fourth day. I have not been able to verify my payment, and hence not able to book appointment . I transferred the fee from my uba account to the first bank account details that I saw on the USAVITS portal. Who can explain this or someone has experienced this. Even the support service is not given me good feedback |

I have a similar issue, I think the problem is from the bank. They just informed me that the payment has been returned because it didn't "impact the visa payment system" after a lot of back and forth with them. I even had to go to first bank to file a complaint Babalom70: I have paid my visa fee last week Thursday and today is the fourth day. Hello, how did you resolve this? I am having the same issue and no response for a week now Lynda27: Hi,
I made a visa payment on the AVITS portal two weeks ago via online transfer to First Bank Direct, but the payment is yet to be confirmed, and I am unable to book an appointment. I have raised a ticket on the AVITS portal with no response, sent emails to nigeria@usvisaappt.com and LagosNIV@state.gov without receiving feedback, and contacted the First Bank Contact Centre, providing all the necessary details, but still received no assistance.
I also entered the reference number and date under the bank deposit details, which showed "bank details updated successfully," but the page then redirects back to "generate deposit slip." I have also called +234 201 343 8900 all to no avail. Does anyone know how long it takes for Visa payment confirmation on the AVITS Portal?
Is anyone else experiencing this issue? Is there anything else I should do? I would appreciate your assistance. |
