Ricoluv: I am a lover of T.M.Lewin Shirts, but lately, the shirts i buy seem to be poorly sewn and not properly tailored.

My colleagues at work have told me to stop buying as most dealer have found a way to cut corners by having Aba tailors sew these shirts and label them accordingly.

this fact they claim is evident in the various promos they , (shirt dealers) are currently doing where they give huge discount on sales of the shirts.

Please guys what do you think?

Spirit of Okija: That is absolute rubbish...

Nigerians dont need experience in the harsh realities of life.. We live it everyday.. Look at the bus that took me from Calabar to Camp.. Thats a harsh reality of life.. I sat with chickens and goats and fermented tomatoes for almost 5 hours!

Those Pllunkers take the money from the Federal Government, pocket it and get us some old women from their villages to cook us crap at a reduced price..

Go ask your parents whaT NYSC food use to be like in their days...
what about those that there parents didn't serve?

FamilyBill On Birth Control On The Way? by Pozzy(op): 11:59am On Jun 27, 2012
Seems like President Jonathan is considering making a law telling Nigerians how many kids they can have so as to manage the population of the country. Yes, you heard right!

There are indications he might sponsor a bill on birth control as a way of curtailing unrestrained population explosion in Nigeria. Continue reading...

President Goodluck Jonathan gave the hint yesterday June 26th at the Presidential Villa while administering oath of office to the newly appointed chairman and members of the National Population Commission (NPC). He said:

“For us to plan properly, we must manage our population, but it is extremely sensitive because we are extremely religious people, either as Christians or Muslims. Both Christians and Moslems and even traditionalists and all the other religions believe that children are God’s gifts to man, so it is difficult for you to tell any Nigerian to number their children because they are gifts of God and it is not expected to reject God’s gifts.

The key thing is how you will, through your advocacy, come up with plans and programmes that encourage Nigerians to have the number of children they can manage, before government comes up with clear policies and guidelines. First and foremost is the personal consciousness that people should get the family they can manage.

“Sometimes you get to the house of somebody living in a well-furnished duplex. There is the husband and wife and maybe two, three or four children. But the guard at the gate may have nine children. That is the scenario you have. So, first and foremost, before government comes up with regulations, guidelines or laws, Nigerians must be made to know that we cannot continue to procreate and procreate even though we know children are God's gifts." President Jonathan Goodluck

spyder880: I am enjoying the evening with a friend who is building a 6 flats, two storey building. He has a problem right here, they did his decking without inserting the continuation pillar rods for the cantilevered sections of the deck. Meaning that the place the pillar rods are supposed to be are bare, and this is the edges.

Weekend question:

Is it better to chisel the decking, insert the rods and continue the upper floors?

OR

Place the rods on top of the decking and cast the pillar like that?

I have already adviced the guy (a friend) but what do you think?

Learning continues.
Hello Sir,
Like how much did it cost him to build the house in places like Aba or Onitsha.
Thanks

PoliticsRe: Canadian Firm Signs Mou With Abia State Government To Build Mono-rail System! by Pozzy(m): 4:17pm On Jun 01, 2012
emindu: Umuahia — The face of transportation in Abia State is set to change as a Canadian firm,Globim Corporation has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Abia State Government to build monorail system of transportation to connect Aba and Umuahia.

Chairman of Globim, Dr Jude Igwemezie, who led a delegation to yesterday to seal the MoU, said their firm specializes in the construction and management of monorail.

According to him, the project would cost $1.6 billion and would be entirely funded by the firm as Abia government would only be required to provide the land, security and manpower.

He said when it becomes fully operational, the monorail would generate 4,000 jobs in Abia and 20, 000 jobs across the Southeast.

He said that aside from providing commuters an efficient and alternative means of transport, the monorail, which would be built to run at a height of nine metres, would eliminate road hazards like accidents and robbery.

Igwemezie explained that the company was interested in introducing the monorail transportation system in Abia and other cities in the Southeast zone and eventually the entire Southeast would be connected with monorail integrated mode of transportation.

He said Globim had already secured approval to build monorail in Onitsha, Enugu and Calabar and assured the governor that they will provide the funding and expects the government to provide labour and security to them.

Governor Theodore Orji, who was visibly elated over the prospect of having the monorail running in his state, said after signing the MoU that the novel project was much acceptable to his government.

PoliticsRe: Did Mungo Park Actually Discover River Niger? by Pozzy(m): 4:12pm On Jun 01, 2012
Correct
Dede1: Africans should endeavor to disabuse their minds away from the acts of brainwash they were subjected by the Europeans. The River Niger was flowing and Africans were fetching water from the river before Mongo Park and Lander Brothers ever set their dirty feet on Africa. If there was any form of discovery, it was making the existence of the river known to Europeans which occasioned colonization.
