I really do not understand it. Witnesses base their believe on Deuteronomy 12:16 but many of them eat pigs yet the same old testament condemns it.

A very selfish decision! I lost two my JW colleagues during my higher institution days due to foolishness as this.

it was the most unselfish act my friend...she is only expressing her Bible trained conscience, is that a big deal?
