As someone who went to north Cyprus after all the warnings, I’m here to advise people not to go.

Hear me out!
I went there because most of the post I saw online only said you shouldn’t go because there are no jobs. I had a sponsor and I wasn’t planning to look for a job there so I went.
I will mention the things I didn’t see anyone talking about online.


First of all, Parents, even if you are the one sponsoring your children don’t send them there.
The amount of Nigerian or Africans who turn gay or act less masculine because of the effect of the environment is alarming. Don’t do it! Almost all the men in that country are gay and I watched a lot of my course-mates slowly join.

The education system is bad! Most of the lecturers can barely speak English and many of my courses exam questions were repeated, there was always a leaked exam question. It got to a point that people didn’t even read anyone because they are willing to pay for exam questions, so instead of studying they spend their time looking for exam questions. I watched my 90% of my coursemate get 10/100 when they couldn’t find the exam questions. My university is Near east university, I was so disappointed because I heard that in CIU you can pay to pass and bribe anyone and the school has casted I didn’t even know that Near East was like that.
The country is for people who are not smart at all and need to have a degree. No reasonable person should go to north Cyprus. They open their border to anyone willing to pay €1500, which is not a smart thing to do.

The country is for wanted criminals and unwanted people! Please, and please, I beg you don’t go there, spend that extra money to go to a better country. Apply for that visa, don’t give up, north Cyprus is for people who have been rejected everywhere, it’s not a place I wish for my enemy. It’s better to study in Nigeria than to study in north Cyprus. Nigerian degrees are recognized everywhere.
Even if some people recognize north Cyprus degrees, it is still not recognized globally because of the status of the country.

Lastly, if you die in that country you die for nothing! No one will investigate your death, they will just rule it as sucide.

You need to contact someone who is still in the country to help you get it.

Is there anyone coming to north Cyprus from Nigeria this February ?
