ion know, boss. But a friend of mine got his own a day after it was open, that was Thursday.

U better asked ur friend if at all he visited the portal on that Wednesday.
because some pple visited the portal, requested for hostel, selected their gender but to see their placement, they were unable to becos of the network.
So he might have requested but when he checked back to try again the next day .. He luckily saw his hostel which he didn't know that he had already requested for..

I am a 30 minutes victim of this..
I requested for my hostel since about 12:30 but when I saw it was about 1:02

Lol... The hostel allocation started at exactly 12:15. because a girl in my faculty I believe must have been among the 1-10 that got... I got mine at exactly 1:02PM..after struggling to bypass the compression and traffic on the Internet. I also checked for two other pple... Immediately I went to bank and I met a long queue in front of me. I
Luckily, I was able to pay at about 3:30PM and the moment I was done a girl in my faculty called me that she was being told that bedspace for her faculty had been exhausted.. This was between the minutes of 3:30-4:00PM on that same Wednesday.

I am giving this unnecessary analysis because how ur 48 hours came about.. Baba I dunno..... U can ask those who got hostel if actually u even did.. Every one can confess that hostel allocation didn't last for more than 4/5 hours.
