Emeskhalifa: Abeg make we rest.
Na so somebody tell us say, immediately e remove subsidy, dem no go fit smuggle fuel go neighbouring countries, today they've successfully made it even more lucrative with the subsidy removal.
State police may not change much as you guys are assuming o You just confirmed that the Federal government are rogues, that's why I will trust my own state government to do better with policing. Buy you, the FG is proving to you daily that they cannot manage anything, why then are you still trusting them to keep handling your security? |

Fire4fireNL: We all can see the excesses of this governors... this is one of the major reasons most peeps are against state police... with all this depose and undepose currently sweeping the nation, how do we trust this governors not to misuse their authorities when state police finally get approved?
If state police mistakenly get approved, then don't expect any opposition party to win any states in guber elections going forward. It will certainly be better than losing hundreds of thousands of Nigerian citizens because of insecurity. Th4 current police structure can never protect anyone but the big men. In fact, there is no police now. |
Politics › Re: Last Words Of DC. Andrew Essien While Facing Reps Committee by PresidObi: 5:12am On Jun 26, 2024 |
seunmsg: Sometimes, there is a price for being competent and brilliant. The responsibility he took up yesterday was the responsibility of the Comptroller General of Customs. The CG was the one invited to face the committee but he pushed it to his most senior DCG to represent him.
If you watch the video, the man sitting to the right of DC Essien is a DCG and the man sitting to his left is a comptroller. The DCG is in charge of Finance, Account and technical services of Customs and the Comptroller is in charge of Accounts. Both are very senior officers but they still decided to push the presentation to a Deputy Controller.
Maybe he would still be alive today if he was not the one given the responsibility to make the presentation to the committee. In as much as there may be underlying medical condition, the fear of making that presentation triggered his medical condition and ultimately led to his death. Senior officers who make all the decisions and enjoy all the benefits of their big ranks should take more responsibility and stop pushing duties like this to those under them. May God rest his soul. Cc. Tinubu He dodges all responsibility, wont debate, wont appear for important functions, but still remains ineffective since 1932. |

Incessant killings as is done every Monday is not what your forefathers prayed for. My forefathers were much safer. They didn't ask for or sign for a loose country like Nigeria. |

Facts are now being sacrificed on the altar of politics That's what happens everywhere, the police wont even ask of facts of what happened, they will sit in their office and accuse ipib or any body they hate. Nigeria is evil. |

Whenever you see a person crying more than the bereaved, know that something is fishy in the whole scenario.
Those who killed the young girl are the people making the most noise now, because they want to use the unfortunate incident to create some noise, and so far they have been disappointed.
So Reno will continue squealing like a pig to achieve the purpose of killing the innocent girl. |

They're there to help themselves - to make money.
