chidiokay:Thanks bro this is the most comforting comment i have read here so far. It's not about them selling and not giving is the issue but stealing the document and selling it in secret that hurts because i have a good job and can take care of my wife and kids. I was just seeking a wider opinion on the issue like if it has happened to someone here before and how they were able to handle the matter. |
shekauvsbuhari:Thanks God bless you |
I don't know if you are male or female. If you are female then you must be the most wicked mother on earth if you can't protect your children when your husband is dead. That the next thing on your mind is to go and sell property that belongs to him in secret without consulting other members of the family. Everything that my mom and sister did was based on greed. My story is not incomplete.May you not suffer loss. By the grace of God i have a job i can take of my family without getting proceeds from the house that was sold. It's just painful that what is jointly owned was sold in secret after a disagreement that it should not be sold. Mom007: |
All those that have made useful comments i thank you all it has really helped. All those who didn't even know me and made negative comments on my person i pray that they evil that has visited my family will dwell with them 10 million folds. I am not the first son I'm the second son.We are six in number my sister in question is the eldest and she has been a greedy person right from the time we were little and my mum always supports what ever she does whether right or wrong. My elder brother the first Son is a cool guy the best elder brother anyone can think of we all were well brought up no drug issues or nonsense behavior anywhere as insinuated by some nairalanders. It's just greed on the part of my sister and she collaborated with my mum. My sister and my mum stole the original documents of the house and sold without the consent of everybody. We all did not agree to sell the house after my dad died but only my sister and mum were pushing for it to be sold. We said ok since they have sold it no problem let the money be shared. Why i shared my story was what if they refuse to share the money what can we do about it? Because there is no will and the document was stolen,so what can we do? We have reported to family members/elders they are not happy about it they are doing their best to resolve the issue but my question is if they can't resolve issue what can we do? Have we lost our father's property? We had no intention of selling it in the first place. |
Hello Nairaland lawyers please i need your advice. My mother and elder sister sold our late father's house secretly without our consent around february this year but we just found out only recently. It's a 4 bedroom bungalow. The buyer has completed renovation.Have we lost out? They didn't share the money they are holding on to it.Is there anything that can be done at this point in time?
