Rick Ross Arrested For Possession of Marijuana


Maybach Music Group Founder, Rick Ross, 39 has been arrested for the possession of marijuana and traffic violation.

The 39 year old rapper who was driving in his Bentley through Fayette County, Georgia was pulled over because of an alleged window tint violation. Apparently, the officer who pulled him over smelled marijuana after he opened the door to his car.

A student of Ozar secondary school, Asa in Ukwa West LGA of Abia State, who was sent home by one of her teachers, Mrs Njoku on Monday to cut her hair, returned with her mother and elder siblings to attack teachers and students .

The JSS 2 student, Precious Nwadike, had earlier been warned by same teacher two weeks ago to barb her hair but she did not heed to the warning.

With the swearing-in of President Muhammadu Buhari and the curtains drawn on the 7th National Assembly, attention has duly shifted to the leadership of the 8th National Assembly. Needless to state that the most focused of the two chambers is the Senate.

The Nigerian Senate comprising 109 distinguished senior citizens is expected to select or elect a new leader come Tuesday, 9th July, 2015.
Two major contenders for the leadership of the Senate; Senator Bukola Saraki from Kwara State and Senator Ahmad Lawan from Yobe have thus emerged for the top seat.

While not delving into the usual complimentary remarks in support of a particular candidate, it is, however, pertinent that as a card-carrying member of the APC, one implored on the party, its senators and other distinguished senators to make the best choice of the two, especially as it regards experience, party loyalty and of course the question of the moral burden.

If Nigeria must be the winner and seen to be the ultimate beneficiary of the gift of a most qualified Senate president, then the perfect choice in my candid opinion for the job at hand is Senator Ahmed Lawan ( Dan Masanin bade).

A cartel in Minna, the Niger State capital, has turned National Youths Service Corps (NYSC) orientation camp into a recruitment ground for “young prostitutes.”

The cartel, according to findings, consists of elitist group; politicians, journalists with the active connivance of some NYSC officials, who approve the requests of the cartel to post selected female Corps members to a particular government agency, boards and parastatals.

Ijeoma, a graduate of the University of Ado-Ekiti, left Jigawa for Lagos State on saturday 30th of May after completing her 3 weeks orientation exercise but stopped over in Abuja to continue her journey on Sunday being a long trip.

WIZKID FAILS TO ATTEND BANKY W AWARD CONCERT ‘MAN OF THE YEAR’

Wizkid and Skales cut their teeth together under the Empire Mates Music umbrella. They were lorded by Banky W, who gave them their first shot at stardom in 2010 and 2011. Time and success has since split the trio.



Wizkid failed to attend Skales’s concert to mark the release of his debut album. Although, EME chieftain, Banky W registered a supporting presence.

The concert which held at the Federal Palace Hotel, on Sunday, May 31, 2014, was primed to offer a lot of attractions, living up to its billing.

Skales, the man who was dumped last year by his previous record label, the prestigious-but-declining-EME, was the star of night, switching between emotions, charisma, talent, and wonder as he performed to an audience who braved the lingering fuel crisis to register their support.

For the first time since the much-talked about D’banj court case began, the court finally held it’s first sitting on Monday, March 30, 2015 as earlier reported by NET.
At the court proceeding at the Multi-door Courthouse, Obalende, Lagos, D’banj was absent. The DB Records boss was however represented by his lawyer, Dele Adeshina, who was in turn represented by a junior lawyer from his chamber. The claimant, Henry Ojogho, was also absent in court. Like the Kokomaster, he was represented in court by his lawyer, Benedict Onyeabo as both teams filed their papers to kick off proceedings. After deliberations, the presiding judge, Justice (Mrs.) Oyebanji adjourned the case till May 7, 2015. Recall that the debt allegations against Dbanj surfaced in November 2014 as Henry Ojogho, Vice Chairman of Broron Group and Vice Chairman of MindHub Technologies, alleged that D’banj owes him and has refused to pay. The debt, according to Henry, came to be through a loan of over N60m obtained through D’banj’s company, DKM Media Limited in January 2013 but which the ‘Oliver Twist’ singer is yet to pay back despite signing an undertaking to do so. Raising the stakes even higher, the man claimed that the entertainer issued two cheques – one on December 20, 2013 and another on January 20, 2014, both of which had to be returned unpaid after presentation because the pop star’s accounts were not funded enough….

May 7, 2015, the case, having kicked off now, is expected to resume in court and it remains to be seen if D’Banj will be in court or absent once more….
