Judawoo: . But I found in this trend a month ago someone got feedback like after 4 month about the positive reconsideration, there is no delay for that and is very bad! Has anyone noticed that most applications are pushed to Lagos these days. Lagos seems to be refusing people at this time. Reconsiderations are sent to the office that originally processed your application |

amnotapervert: Don’t mix them up: Deportation is different from a 5-year visa ban for misrepresentation (e.g., fake proof of funds, fake employment, fake tax returns, etc.).
Deportation Order : You are permanently barred from Canada. To ever return, you must apply for an Authorization to Return to Canada (ARC) and convince IRCC that your return is justified. Legal representation is usually required, and the process is costly.
5-Year Visa Ban (for misrepresentation): You do not need legal representation to reapply after the ban expires. However, it’s very difficult to succeed, because you must convince the visa officer that the misrepresentation leading to the ban was a mistake/ you have changed your old ways or will not be repeated. The only thing that causes a ban for Canada is usually the statement of account. Canada has no agreement with firs to confirm your tax or check how much tax you pay. Also, they can't prove your employment. Once you use a fake statement of account, that is where you get into trouble. Most people make up their employment by paying themselves or have a company pay them. If the organization is not active on CAC, they refuse the visa instantly but can't claim you are not employed. Once you submit an e tax clearance certificate, it confirms you pay tax but they can't confirm how much you pay as tax. Don't ever doctor your POF. They will surely know and you will get a ban |

Hello guys, i noticed that Lagos Immigration office seems to be handling most applications now. Processing time is still 31days though. I don't know what this means or translates to for visa applicants though it seems many have stopped applying at this time probably due to the high refusal rates. |

souljaboi51: Hello Everyone. I'm a bit confused cos ive not heard this before. I applied for visitor visa for my mother inlaw. She was denied twice and eventually accepted at the 3rd time. Now my mother inlaw went to submit her passport in lagos which is where she did her biometrics. She told me she was asked if her visa has been denied before which she said yes. She was told she would pay N38,800 because of that. Then again she was told she would pay another N25,500 for visa transmission fee and digital transmission haulage. I was like what is all this Normally what is their business with visa refusal and why are they charging for it? Also why are they asking for transmission fee. I know you pay transmission fee when you submit your passport to a different country than where you did your biometrics. As far as I'm concerned she has been scammed by the vfs guys. She also received a paper for a "dihsxpress" which is supposed to be a courier company that would transfer her passport even though she didn't request courier service. Intried searching for the company but their website is blocked and no other info on them. Any ideas guys. Go their office bro.. |

Teslas: Thanks, Canada is not heaven, and in my experience of travelling, no documents are too many, as you can only submit what you have at your disposal. I have stated most of the documents presented for the application. Can you advise on documents to submit and not to submit? Or better still, document to remove for the next application and to add for the next application.
Please, can you help with the documents that will not confuse the VO? Because if these documents confuse the VO of Canada, then there is a high chance it will confuse the VO of other countries you are asking me to try. Please advise on a criticism that will end positively.
I had asked the below questions in my previous post. Can you comments on each questions respectively;
What more economically established and socio-economic ties did they want? - Please guide me What more documents will compel someone to come back to his/her home country - Please guide me What more sufficient will i add when i have already provided over 1.5m and monthly salary and over 35m? - Please guide me What more property will i add when i have already provided 3 and one ongoing warehouse construction for her business? - Please Guide me
You and i know that if there is any discrepancies, they will flag it for you.
Please look at my message and guide me on what more to provide as additional documents for the next submission.
Please, i want to know if i missed out anything or something i need to add. Meanwhile she is coming back oooooo Hi bro, so let me first of all say that the documents submitted were never too much. Like I told you earlier, the challenge is not what was submitted but the fact that it lacked credibility before the VO. In submitting an application, a story that looks credible must be told. Let us wait for the results of the reconsideration. I believe mama would be granted and then let me know so I can work with you for your sister's application. I am not a visa agent but I have helped several people and I do not do it for any fee please. Just voluntary. There is a way to tell a story with your documentation. Just keep me in the loop concerning decisions for the reconsideration. Nothing to worry about bro. Blessed day |

House34: Tender a reconsideration letter immediately, and a more senior officer will review it. In your mother’s case, with a valid U.S. visa at 80 years old, the refusal appears to be an error in judgment. Your sister’s refusal, however, seems more understandable. Hello bro, I actually live in Calgary Alberta and I seemed interested in your concerns. I had to talk to a lawyer friend here showing him your refusal notes. He simply said that the VO was trying to tell your mum that she can't travel with another daughter of her's when one relation is already there. For now, she may need to apply alone or since you have already put in for reconsideration, I strongly believe it will be overturned and she will get her visa. As for sis, let mumsy come back and then she should reapply. |

gonegreen: Yes, you can add fresh documents backing your claims. No you cannot add fresh documents for reconsideration except you reapply. Also, reconsideration is on a personal basis so even if they will approve, they will do so for just one person for now. |

Teslas: Story on this this.
Reason stated for Mom -
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as required by paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR (https://laws lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/SOR-2002-227/ section-179.html). I am refusing your application because you have not established that you will leave Canada, based on the following factors:
• The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the details you have provided in your application.
• You have significant family ties in Canada.
Officer Decision Notes (ODN) -
These notes were entered by the officer who assessed and made the final decision on your application.
• Upon review of the application, there is insufficient evidence to demonstrate socio-economic ties that will compel the applicant to return to their home country or country of residence. I also note that the applicant has significant family ties in Canada. Therefore, I am not satisfied that the purpose of their intended stay is justified or that their visit to Canada is temporary. Application refused.
Please Note: She has a valid US visa; this is her second visa, and she has travelled to the USA before. She is almost 80. She is coming to visit her daughter and grandchildren. She is retired and not working and didn't submit any bank statement, but her daughter has over 30 dollars in her account, and she included it all in the application. Her daughter is a PR holder. Letter of invitation from her daughter and all her documentation.
Sister—She is to accompany the mother to Canada

I am refusing your application because you have not established that you will leave Canada, based on the following factors:
• The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the details you have provided in your application.
• Your assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel for yourself (and any accompanying family member(s), if applicable).
• You have significant family ties in Canada.
Officer Decision Notes (ODN) -
These notes were entered by the officer who assessed and made the final decision on your application.
• The documentation provided by the applicant on their current employment activities or to prove ownership of the declared business is limited. They have not shown that they are economically established and have sufficient socio-economic ties. Additionally, there is insufficient evidence to one, support the purpose of their travel to Canada; and two, demonstrate socio-economic ties that will compel the applicant to return to their home country or country of residence. I also note that the applicant has significant family ties in Canada. On balance, I am not satisfied that the purpose of their intended stay is justified or that their visit to Canada is temporary. Please Note That: She submitted all the documents to support her application: All Educational certificates, ND, HND, BSC, and other professional certificates, All her employment certificates, offer letter, leave letters, promotion letters, introduction letter, , company ID Cards, Company Business Cards, letter of invitation from her sister and all her documentation. Letter of Explanation. Office- and work-related pictures.
She submitted her registered business too, tax of the business, and the CAC document too. Business ID Cards, Business cards for customer, invoices and all documents with pictures.
She submitted 3 properties and her ongoing warehouse constructions to expand her business and all payment-related information from the properties and highlighted them with a marker in her statement of account.
She submitted a bank statement of over 35 million with proven and clean records with payslips, money from properties, and income from her business. Her salary is 1.5m, and it comes with bonuses at times payable into her account.
She submitted her marriage certificates, birth certificate affidavits, letter of support and consent from the husband, Family Pictures with her immediate family and family pictures with her sister and her mom.
She submitted police report, document report, community letter from the leader, birth certificates showing both her own and her sister, she submitted conversation between her and her sister.
She has travel to Benin x 2, Ghana x 2, Togo and Gabon. She has refusal from UK and she declared it and explained the reason. she didnt apply to UK again as the reason she wanted to travel has past and there is not need for re-aplying when they didnt give her.
I would appreciate any guidance on how to navigate this. They are not planning to relocate and just want to visit. Thanks So this is what I suspect must have been the issue. This sincerely has nothing to do with Grandma. If you send a reconsideration as early as tomorrow morning for her alone, she will most likely be granted. The issue was the daughter who applied with her. If you consider the latest trends, once you apply with someone and it looks to the VO that you are trying to leverage on someone who has the potentials of getting a Canadian visa, it becomes a red flag. For her daughter, I suspect the reason for refusal from the UK might have been a factor. I do not know what the reason was but I suspect that is the issue. You need a letter of explanation that can address those issues. Most negative decisions from the VO are usually discretionary and may not be written in the officers notes. Send a reconsideration for Grandma as early as tomorrow and I am almost certain she will get her visa. Apply separately for her daughter sometime much later and package it well in terms of documentations. Having the documents is one things but believing it is credible is another. It has to be packaged in such a way that it obviously looks credible. |

JDeemm: Dear House please help,
My parents just got refused.
Reason stated for dad - 'The purpose of the applicant's visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the details provided in the application. I am not satisfied that the applicant has provided sufficient and reliable proof of their declared employment/funds. Consequently, I am not satisfied that the applicant has demonstrated sufficient economic ties to their home country and that the proposed visit would be a reasonable expense. Weighing the factors in this application, I am not satisfied that the applicant will depart Canada at the end of the period authorized for their stay. For the reasons above, I have refused this application.'
Context - Dad is retired and worked in his own company before retirement. submitted document were retirement letter, bank statement (NGN4m), sponsor's bank statement (mine) - $20k, marriage cert, birth cert, children's birth cert, hotel booking (unpaid), tour booking (unpaid), photos, no previous travel or refusal history
Reason for mum - 'Previous visa application refusal(s) not declared. Application refused under A16(1) Truthful.' - I filled in the application myself and honestly missed this and just put in 'No' as it was grouped with those other questions on arrests, conviction etc.
Context - Mum is also retired and worked in dad's company before retirement. submitted documents were retirement letter, bank statement (NGN4m), sponsor's bank statement (mine) - $20k, marriage cert, birth cert, children's birth cert, hotel booking (unpaid), tour booking (unpaid), photos, previous travel to UK and US refusal history.
I would appreciate any guidance on how to navigate this. They are not planning to relocate and just want to visit. Thanks Just reapply with a letter of explanation. Explain how that it was an honest mistake where you totally forgot to fill in the details for your parents. Let them know you filled it for them. They would understand. When did you apply and when did you get the decision. Kindly share timeline |

bcolat21: Hello there,
It seems she provided the requested documents. She should give reconsideration a thought and upload all those documents, pay stub, investment documents and the rest. And the reconsideration is a letter explaining her situation. Based on what you have shared about I'll share a sample of what her reconsideration letter can look like below :
Reconsideration Request for Visitor Visa – Ms XYZ
Dear IRCC Officer,
I am writing to respectfully request a reconsideration of the refusal decision issued regarding my visitor visa application. After carefully reviewing the refusal letter and the officer’s notes, I believe there may have been some misinterpretation or oversight in the assessment of my documents. I wish to clarify the purpose of my travel, my strong ties to Nigeria, my financial and professional capacity, and the genuine, temporary nature of my intended visit.
Purpose of Visit and Strong Ties to Nigeria: I applied to visit Canada briefly for personal and family reasons, after which I will promptly return to Nigeria. My life, career, and assets are firmly rooted here. I am a businesswoman with ongoing responsibilities that require my daily oversight, and I have no reason to overstay. I also maintain strong family ties in Nigeria, with dependents and close relatives who rely on me.
Financial Capacity: The refusal cited insufficient documentation regarding my income and funds. However, I had submitted six months’ bank statements, e-tax clearance, business registration and operating letters, investment certificates, and property documents. My monthly earnings exceed ₦1 million consistently, which is more than enough to cover the costs of my travel. I also hold valid visas to the UK (2 years) and Italy, with previous travel history showing full compliance and timely return. These records clearly demonstrate both my financial ability and my respect for immigration laws.
Below is a list of documents I submitted in the initial application :
Six months’ personal and business bank statements showing consistent inflows • E-tax clearance certificate • Business registration and operating letters • Investment certificates • Land/property ownership documents • Family information forms and dependents’ details • Evidence of monthly income exceeding ₦1 million • Previous travel history with valid visas (including a 2-year UK visa and Italy visa), with timely returns and full compliance
Final Appeal: I believe my application reflects a genuine short-term visit, supported by financial sufficiency, strong family and economic ties, and a proven history of international compliance. I respectfully request that my application be reconsidered, as I am committed to returning to Nigeria after my planned visit.
Thank you for your time and kind consideration.
Sincerely, Ms XYZ
You can tweak it or make it more convincing by adding more details Thank you so much. We would consider that. I appreciate you a great deal |

bcolat21: Good day everyone, I thought to share an update on this application for the sake of the people that this information might be useful to. So this application was denied on June 26th, the couple were advised to apply for their parents alone and leave the siblings out of the application. They also got advised to submit a reconsideration request being that insufficient funds was stated as a denial reason but the funds were more than sufficient.
They tried to wait for gcms notes before submitting the reconsideration but till date the gcms is not out. They decided to close their eyes and submitted the reconsideration through a webform for the pry applicant(the dad) on 25th of July and start preparing to submit a fresh application.
Guess who woke up to a PPR mail on 31st of July, the dad only. However, his wife and 2 kids that all applied with him as a family remained denied so they reached out to IRCC and the customer representative they spoke with said even though they applied as a family, reconsideration requests for visitors visa should be submitted individually. So they proceeded to submit for the mum on Aug 5th and 8th and she received her own PPR on the 14th of August. Right now they have submitted for the 2 kids 2 days ago and awaiting updates from IRCC and we hope they are approved so they can attend their brother's wedding as well.
I thought to share this, if you feel you were denied wrongly. Try submitting a reconsideration request but that is if you feel you were wrongly denied ooo, we heard it's automatic denial for most people now and the reconsideration is helping them have a 2nd look and approve people that shouldn't have been denied in the 1st place. Disclaimer : If you application was meant to be denied it will remain denied o, reconsideration doesn't mean everyone denied will get approved.
Moral lesson : Try submitting a reconsideration request today, you might be lucky to get approved and not have to spend the extra cost and go through the stress of gathering new documents for a new application cos for reconsideration you must prove your point with the same documents submitted for the initial application that was denied, you must not add any new document.
Thank you and I'm willing to share more information for anyone interested. Thank you for this information. I have a sister who earns over 1m monthly and has uk visas and italy visa with a valid 2yr uk visa and she was denied yesterday. i have a few questions please. 1. Do you think she should go for reconsideration? 2. If she decides to re-apply, do you think it carries thesame weight as the reconsideration. 3. Refusal reason says that applicant provided insufficient documents to support source and history of accumulation of declared funds, applicant did not provide sufficient documentation on current business. even though she submitted all letters including statement for 6months, e-tax clearance, land documents, investment certificate, family information, etc. what is your suggestion please? |

lagusboyyy: Good evening bro, i had my biometrics last week Tues, and my proof of funds is due tommorow, can I take out the proof of funds I paid for, or I should still try to renew it fir one extra month?! Ideally, VO will only be able to access the period specified on your bank statement submitted. However, if the VO feels a need for further verifications, he might decide to ask you for another bank statement. You never can tell. So, you may probably rely on your instincts here. |

Canadaforme: Hi Everyone,
Does Canada still ask for bank account statement that generates pin or password for them to access applicants bank statement. Or can I use the traditional bank statement ?
I want to be sure what I should be requesting from the bank.
Thank you It is advisable you use 'My Bank Statement'. That is easier for VO to review and that is more handy and less stressful to upload. |

My monthly salary is 650k, I work has an operations manager. I do have good savings in my piggyvest. I do have properties aswell(home-ties). I have a valid Uk visa, I have previously travelled to US and France. Is a total of 6M okay? Or do I need more?. I’m single, under 30. I have no relative in Canada. What more can I do to improve my chances before my application next year If you have previously traveled to the US and you did not overstay, you are mostly likely to be approved for a canadian visa. |

Milito: Was the person denied boarding here in Lagos? This is quite peculiar. Probably the visa is fake or have been flagged after issuance. Send an email to IRCC and keep us updated please. This is not peculiar at all. Many people issued visas in the past are being denied boarding for one reason or the other. It is possible background information shows her conditions have changed or the purpose of the visa was time sensitive. There are several reasons why this happens. I know of a friend who was also recently denied boarding because he was given a visa to attend a conference and now he wanted to go on a visit with the same visa after missing the conference. |

atm0147: Hello everyone, Please I have some questions to ask. and I will appreciate it if i can be guided. last year, we were denied and the reason i quote ( • I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as required by paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR (https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/SOR-2002-227/ section-179.html). I am refusing your application because you have not established that you will leave Canada, based on the following factors:
• Your assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel for yourself (and any accompanying family member(s), if applicable). • The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the details you have provided in your application.
This application was done by an agent, but now I would like to apply myself. I recently just got my 5years UK visa, I have previously been issued a 6 months Schengen visa from Spain and a 6 month visa from France twice all with my family.
I can remember I ask this agent why not use my salary account and business account, he said no that i should just put 22m on another personal account that is active which i did. at the end the applications was refused.
I'm self-employed with a take home monthly salary of 623,356 after tax. as well as having enough in my business account.
Please, I need advice on how to go about a new application, can i use my salary account with about 9m balance and my business account with about 80m balance for this new application?
Please i need a guided pass for this new application, what and what do you guys think i can do?
Also, I have gotting my login access to IRCC to do my it myself this time. please i need a guide and advice to do myself.
can i transfer some money to my salary account with a remark and reason ?? or can i use the current balance with business account.?
please make una help For your monthly income, I would say that is insufficient to convince a Canadian visa officer. Consider what that amounts to in CAD. Also, for the deposit into your account, you can use narrations such as leave allowance and vacation savings if you can explain that in your payslip. Your balance of N9m may also not scale through for a Canadian visa of today. Kindly work on your financial proofs. |
