Career › How To Relate With Your Helpers by Princess2023(op): 5:57pm On Dec 18, 2023
Hello everyone,
It is my first time posting here.
I am looking for some advice please. How do you appreciate someone who has helped you do things noone could do for you? How do you appreciate someone who for instance has offered to train you in school or give you money to start a business? How do you show them gratitude? What tone of voice should you use when texting them or calling them? How do you know how to speak to them that you won't offend them unknowingly. I don't think I have much common sense or social skills.

I sent a message like this after she told me to let her know when I am back home today.

Good afternoon Ma!
I am back home now
We just had lunch too, hope you are having a nice day and have had some time to rest and eat too Ma

Was that a good message? Did I sound respectful or annoying? I come from a family where we are privileged to sometimes be able to extend help to others and I have experienced people who constantly bombard their helpers with messages and phone calls making requests to the point it becomes annoying. I don't want to be like that to this person. Please help with any advice. Words I can use, things I can do that they would feel cared for and appreciated.

If there is even a class I can take to learn it or a book I can read or a sermon I can listen to I would.
Thank you
