Good evening everyone,
I have a certain concern, I'm seeing on ICES website that we need to submit out secondary school certificate, did this just start? Or I'm not understanding properly? I chose ICES because of this WAEC scratch card issue. Please can anyone help clarify.

Looking to use WES cos I've read it favours OND/HND holders.

kashamadupe0906:

why not save yourself stress on WES by using ICES which have been recommended in previous pages?

well, if it's WES or nothing for u, I believe someone will come to your rescue soon, as I don't have much info about WES waec combo.

Thank you so much for this Clarification. I am really grateful.
I have Bsc in Business administration with about 2 years experience in customer service relations reason we felt using his own qualifications and his longer years of experience.
Yes he can demonstrate being a manager in the last 5 years.
So please what would you advice?

bellong:
@Princessfad,

With EA, experience is not required to get a positive assessment. However, engineering occupations are skill level 1 occupations, which means a bachelor degree is required.

For his sales experience, the closest occupation is a sales and marketing manager. To get a positive assessment, he needs to demonstrate he has been a sales manager by presenting the company's organogram and showing departments that report to him. Meanwhile, the occupation is also a skill level 1 occupation but experience may be deducted in lieu of qualification. The key here is, can he demonstrate that he has been a manager in the last five years?

If he had had an engineering experience related to his occupation, mechanical fitter would have been a good option.

What is your own qualification and experience?

I was actually hoping there would be a way around it *sigh*
I would check the skill migration list again. Thank you!

shupy:
@Princessfad you have already answered your question. Experience is required in an engineering field. There's no way around it. He has a better a chance at positive skill assessment with his sales experience but i don't know if any occupation relating to sales is on the skill migration list.

Princessfad:
Happy new year everyone, hoping all our dreams of PR comes through this year. Grateful to @bellong for this thread and the previous one.
We're looking to start our PR journey this year and I have all the information needed(after going through previous thread and this) but I'm yet to come across a situation like ours and I'd like someone to please help shed light on it.

My husband has HND in mechanical engineering but he has barely worked in that field. He has worked in sales and has 10 years experience. The challenge we have is the assessing body EA requires experience in the engineering field which my husband does not have,so my question is this ; can we fill in his sales experience? Cos that's about the only experience we have. Please I would really appreciate someone helping us with a way out. Thank you
