Gud day house, u guys had adviced me to buy golf3 for my intended cab bizz, so today I went to some car stand to check their golfs with a friend and a mechanic. On getting to a particular stand we saw a 1999 corolla looking very neat and clean, so I asked my paddy he said corolla is fuel economical and cheap to maintain, asked mecho he said golf is cheaper to maintain and stronger for cab bizz, so local man became confused Prices for both toks are in the same level, pls house which one is better 99 corolla or golf 3. In terms of cost of maintenance, fuel economy and durability. Thanks

Good day sir! @GAZZUZZ Although I have posted this issue in the car comparison thread, I still deem it necessary to know ur opinion on this....
I intend to start a cab business a.k.a taxi in some months time in akure city. But am yet to decide which on vehicle to purchase. I have selected 3 options ; The vw golf3 toks, Nissan micra toks and 06 KIA rio naija used. Pls I need ur honest opinion according to this criterias so I can choose the very best among them.
1. Fuel economy
2. Cost of repair and parts
3. Durability
4. Availability of good mechanics

Start by working with a dealer first. There is always a starting period. Selling of cars requires some skills too.

m... i have some knowledge about carparts ma! though its been 7yrs back so i dnt knw if its still d same or changes have occured. i was with my bro then for abt 2 -3yrs doing d biz bt after his demise i jst had 2 leave cus his wife took over everything and sold them all, so i jst had 2 leave 2 find my own way. i wud have started it elsewhere bt i had no capital then and its a bussines dat is capital intensive. tnks a bunch...awaiting ur kind response...

Naija used, learn from other dealers, u might be shocked that u will not make anything tangible anytime soon, learn the trade well b4/u put a kobo there. Its not as simple as it looks,trust me I am speaking from experience, buy the low end cars for a start,BTW 200 to 600k,
