Trust me Most people will freak out when they get the wind that Rihanna is people's most streamed female artist without releasing even a single album this year, but what more can we say it is clear that Rihanna is the people's choice. While she remains famous to a degree that is basically impossible to comprehend, and while her fashion empire continues to expand (now including sock lines and beauty agencies), she has continued to frustrate fans who are eager (“eager” is putting it mildly) for her eighth studio album. (Rihanna released her first seven albums over the course of eight years, the most recent being 2012’s Unapologetic.)

She released three singles this year—“FourFiveSeconds,” in January, “Bitch Better Have My Money,” in March, and “American Oxygen,” in April—yet none of the three were followed, as many hoped or assumed, with an album release. In October, amidst all kinds of rumors about Rihanna wresting control of her music and releasing it on her own, the title of the disc—Anti—was revealed, along with album art. But now we’ve reached December, and, despite a string of Samsung ads teasing the release, as well as the announcement of an Anti World Tour, we still, basically, have no idea when this album is coming!

But today we learned that not releasing an album . . . didn’t matter at all when it came to her popularity among listeners. Despite not yet putting out “#R8,” as it is referred to her by her fans, Rihanna still reigned supreme this year. Spotify has released its end-of-year data, and Rihanna was the most streamed female artist, worldwide, with over 1 billion streams and 57 million listeners (it should be noted that Taylor Swift’s catalogue is not available on Spotify).

Drake was the most streamed male artist this year (1.8 billion streams, 46 million listeners), and Major Lazer’s “Lean On”—ubiquitous this summer—was the most streamed track, listened to over 540 million times in 2015. The Weeknd’s Beauty Behind the Madness was the most streamed album of the year, with 60 million listeners.

In an Exclusive interview with MTV, Actor Idris Elba shed some light on what would have become the most awful event during the filming of the ground breaking art 'Beast of No Nation' .Writer&director Cary Fukunaga’s “Beasts Of No Nation” premiered on Netflix in October with Idris Elba as its leading man. The recently announced “Star Trek Beyond” actor plays the leader of a child soldier regiment named “Commandant,” but he apparently almost didn’t make it to the end of the film at all.

No, not the character — Elba himself.

“I nearly died,” Elba recently told The Jonathan Ross Show, as The Guardian reports. “We went to this waterfall and in this scene my character is standing there watching all the child soldiers go past. Now in the setup of that, the stunt co-ordinator says, ‘Listen everyone, this is a waterfall, that’s a 90-, 100-foot drop down there and the ground is very slippery, just be careful!’”

“I put my foot on this rock just to hang out and chill out while they were setting up and as I’m doing that it’s slippery, obviously. I slip,” he continued. “I put my hand on this tree — it’s not a tree, it’s a branch. It snaps and I go literally about six feet before I go bang over and I got caught by the security guy.”

As crazy as the fall was, the rescue itself sounds even crazier. But we know Elba. He’s not a dude that could go out like that. No, we’ve binged “The Wire.” We know.

Nollywood actress, Empress Njamah has revealed in a new interview with Saturday Beatz that only God knows when she will walk down the aisle, “If I had the opportunity to see God, I would ask him when I would get married and have kids of my own.”

Dear President Buhari, I will like to extend an invitation to you for a tour of down town, so that you can have a clear view of what the people who voted you into office feel about certain decision your government has taken so far, especially the decision to ban ‘I-pass-my-neighbour generator’.
Contrary to the picture your advisers have painted to you, the decision to ban ‘I-pass-my neighbour’ generators will only bring more hardship to the people down here who have never in any way, benefitted from the Nigerian government at any time. The little hope that your “change” mantra brought to the poor man is fast becoming another tale in the book of presidential lies.
So, for you to really understand the ramification of your decision, I urge you to come for a quick tour of down town. Don’t worry sir; it won’t cost you a thing. We will ensure that your visit is as comfortable as we can. Yes, we know you don’t
take ‘shepe’ or ‘mishango’ or ‘Ghana root’ mixed with ‘draw-draw’. But don’t worry, we will have enough pure water available for you to cool your feet, wash your face and quench your thirst.
It is true that the streets down here are littered with broken water pipes and heaps of smelly refuse dumps as a result of lack of government presence. But babu wahala, we will see to it that your danshiki doesn’t get so messed up.
It will be nice to have you address the youths and explain to them why you have taken the decision to throw our streets into darkness and expose us to more terror from armed robbers. Sir, have you considered the amount of small business operators that will be incapacitated by the ban you have imposed on ‘I-pass-my-neighbour generators’?
Come sir, and see for yourself how many families will lose their source of livelihood simply because they cannot afford to purchase the bigger generators.
Sir, what becomes of the barber, the hair dresser, the recharge card seller whose business is run with ‘I-pass-my-neighbour’ generator? Have you considered the difference between N10, 000 generator and a N50, 000 generator? Do you think the people are happy using ‘I-pass-my-neighbour generators? Someone who earns as low as N15, 000 monthly, how do you expect him to buy and maintain a N50, 000 generator?
You should also consider they have other needs. I think this is a wrong move and one that will drive most self-employed youths into armed robbery and other illegal activities.
And ‘I-pass-my-neighbour generator kills? Hmmmm Mr. President, I thought hunger and bad roads have killed more Nigerians than generators? How come you haven’t placed a ban on hunger and bad roads? Is this a part of the “change” we should expect from this regime? Is this one of the groundbreaking ideas given to you by the new minister for power? How do we achieve steady supply of electricity by banning smaller generators?
What I see here sir, is the government favouring the rich against the poor. The importers of bigger generator will no doubt see this as a welcome idea; that is if they didn’t lobby for it. This is one of the most insensitive decisions taken by any Nigerian government. Shouldn’t it be a general ban on generators?
Is it that punishing the poor has become a goal in itself for the government? Too many affluent Nigerians – and, in particular, members of the political elite – seem to have no sense of how much suffering is down here on the streets.
Little wonder the governors woke up one morning and decided that they can no longer pay the N18, 000 minimum wage of workers. For these governors, what is really striking is the total disconnect between conventional wisdom and the reality of life – and death – for much of the nation. It is like there’s a badge of wickedness on the forehead of our politicians.
Sir, what we want is for you politicians to stop talking blithely about the importance of alleviating the sufferings of the masses and truly start looking at the way their less-fortunate citizens live.

A camp commandant of the Benue State, National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, Captain Abalaba has been decamped for harassing a Muslim corps member, just before the end of the recently concluded Batch B Stream I Orientation exercise.

According to a report from the scheme’s leading site, Corpr.com, the corps member, who is the Amira (female head) of the Muslim Corpers Association of Nigeria (MCAN) in Benue State, was hit because she was wearing a Hijab. More findings claim she was hit with a bottle.

It was believed that the commandant ordered her to remove the Hijab and gave instructions to the soldiers to beat the Amir and some other Muslim corpers found praying in the mosque claiming it was for security purposes. Afterwards the corpers were sent out of the camp.

Delegates from the Director General of the NYSC and the Secretary General of Muslim Council of Nigeria were dispatched to the camp to resolve the issue that same day, November 14th.

MCAN has promised to follow the case up to ensure that “Captain Abalaba is used as a long lasting example to all those who have harassed or have the intention of harassing corps members on religious grounds.

Chris Brown's Ex girlfriend, Karrueche Tran has rounded up her two-day visit to Nigeria.
The model didn’t only speak well of her stay in the country’s capital city but spared some of her time to visit the #BringBackOurGirls camp in Abuja which almost brought her to tears.
“Yesterday I had the opportunity to visit an IDP camp in Abuja where many of the #bringbackourgirls came to. I remember seeing the #bringbackourgirls movement on social media but seeing it in person was a much different experience. I was able to listen to this mothers story of her journey from Northern Nigeria. It was very heartbreaking to hear and to see their living conditions,” She wrote beneath a picture of the camp.



“She said when it rains they have no choice but to stand and there is little to no work for her husband. I told her I admire her for her strength and I will pray for her and her family everyday. This was a very humbling experience for me-I cried at the thought of ever complaining about anything in life. It is unfortunate but I know God will protect them. We cannot save the world but we can take small steps to help,” she added.

She also visited the Hope for Survival Orphanage in Abuja where she fell in love with a 9-month-old girl named Comfort.
“I also was able to visit Hope for Survival Orphanage – this is 9 month old Comfort who went straight in my arms – she was so cute and lovable,” she wrote.

An Evil Mother named Ka Yang, who killed her 2-month old baby by putting her inside a microwave, has been found guilty by a court.
Yang had initially claimed that she had lost consciousness while holding Mirabelle only to wake up to find her next to a space heater.

When that story didn’t fly, she changed and told investigators that she had an epileptic fit and had placed her daughter in the microwave as a result.

The presiding judge also ruled out Yang’s lawyer’s defense that she had Split Personality Disorder, and she now faces 26 years to life in prison for first-degree murder and assault on a child.
Prosecutors said the baby, named Mirabelle Thao-Lo, had been inside the microwave for between 3 and 5 minutes after she was found with burns and radiation marks on her internal organs.
