The Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has affirmed that Thiago Silva is fit and set to face Burnley on Saturday.

The Brazilian centre-back did not travel with the Blues’ for the Champions League clash against Krasnodar, partially due to the fact he had played 90 minutes in the draws against Sevilla and Manchester United.

Lampard had always been careful with handling Silva’s minutes this season, given that he is 36 years old. Lampard also confirmed it was the main reason the previous Paris Saint-Germain captain didn’t feature in Russia.
