We are aware, although not disturbed, rather amused at the news of Miyetti Allah's petition against Governor Samuel Ortom at the International Criminal Court, Hague.

In April 2016, human rights lawyer and activist, Barrister Femi Falana SAN had dragged herders to ICC for genocide and ethnic cleansing, in September of the same year, Human Rights Writers Association, HURIWA also submitted theirs which they got a response from Hague's Chief Prosecutor assuring them of receipt and also informing them of a similar petition undergoing trial at the court.

The petitions continued in 2019 as Democracy Vanguard of Nigerians in Diaspora, DVND dragged alongside with herders, the president of the country, General Muhammadu who they insisted has exhibited complicity in probing them been his kinsmen.

We are forced to believe the position of the US Nigeria Law Group and Attorney Aderemilekun "Ade" Omojola who stood in for 22 international organizations led by the Yoruba Strategy Alliance in separate petitions against herders all at the ICC noting that the inability of the Nigerian government to cUT off the paws of the herders has emboldened them to stare laws and institutions in the eye and mock them.

If it isn't mockery and bold face disregard for rule of law, where would a group under whose umbrella a group named the world's fourth deadliest terror group derive the guts to approach the Hague in a petition against their victims after openly disregrading a law made by a legally constituted legislative house.

Truly, ignorance has a penchant of travelling along with arrogance else what could have possibly motivated Miyetti Allah to drag survivors of their heinous crimes and disregard for human life to a court which they should be naturally be afraid of.

We are sure that the complicity and inability of our leaders to probe the activities of the herders has aided the push of the ego by the Miyetti Allah to approach Hague as they believe the inept leadership in Nigeria is achievable world over.

However, the signature response by Governor Samuel Ortom which is a characteristic feature of the Governor to the media stunt of a petition by the group is reassuring as we are once again motivated and of the faith that as a people, we are protected by a leader who has the interest of his people and generations to come at heart.

Our support and solidarity to Governor Samuel Ortom stands and will not be wavered as we are proud to be led by a courageous leader who stares intimidation in the face and yells back at it.

We are not slaves and would not be coerced into intimidation by any group or tribe as Nigeria is a product of our collective efforts as a people and such belongs to all of us to make or mar, and under us, we won't supervise the disintegration of the country.

A youth activist and Personal Assistant to the Vice Chancellor, University of Mkar, Gboko, Hon. Comr. Dan Nyikwagh has donated a gigantic Billboard and a Wall Space to United Benue Comrades for Uba 2023 as his commitment to sustain support for the group.

Comr. Nyikwagh made this known Saturday, 06-08-2022 in Makurdi during a solidarity visit on him by the State Working Committee of United Benue Comrades for Uba.

Hon. Nyikwagh said the billboard is mounted around Benue State Government House while the wall space is on the creative building at Kadariko, along Nasarawa-Abuja high way.

He stated that he was delighted by the visit and described it as very important, while noting that the group is the second group he is meeting post primaries and promised to donate more campaign materials in support of the group’s activities.

Hon. Dan Nyikwagh who led the Youth Wing of the Jechira Gubernatorial Movement 2023, said the agitation has been achieved and he is back to base to work for the success of his party the PDP.

Earlier, the Director General of the group Comr. Msughter Adom, said the visit was to identify and partner with the former Konshisha Local Government Council chairmanship aspirant to actuallize the Uba governorship project.

Speaking separately, Comr. Justine Hilega who Spoke for Zone A, Comr. Simon Igbayima and Comr. Mike Magaji for Zones B and C respectively all appreciated Dan Nyikwagh for his commitment during the agitation of Jechria Gubernatorial Movement agenda and all he has done for the party especially in the area of youth Mobilization.

Also speaking, the Secretary General Comr. Sesugh Baka and Deputy Director of Students Wing Comr. Jessica Aondakaa, all applauded his gesture saying it will go a long way in contributing to the actualization of Uba's governorship project.

Those who are familiar with warfare, leadership, and even marathon races have had cause to believe that the last lap, phase or last wave of the war is always the toughest for leaders and those leading the war.

It is eminent because at this point, he/she is dealing with more than just the enemy without, he is been faced by the enemy within as well, therefore the pressure on him increases, however the goal doesn't change, to win, and gallantly so too.

The Governor Samuel Ortom administration took over in 2015, of course with a lot of expectations from the people, as the people had lost contact with those they had entrusted their mandate with. It goes without saying that Governor Ortom has in his own way bridged the gap between the electorates and the elected.

With the above, one would wish that Governor Ortom's last lap should be glorious without hassles, but of course that is only wishful, knowing that it beats history which is assumed to be influenced by human nature.

It is based upon this fact that as those of us who had the privilege of sharing the vision with the chief visioner in the early days of the project wish to restate our stand on the Ortom project.

HE Governor Samuel Ortom is already into the eleventh hour of his administration. At this point, there are those who are saboteurs, those whose intent is to betray, and then the opposing force from the opposition, all these with one aim, that Ortom doesn't end gallantly.

Premised upon the above, we wish to state clearly that it is our resolve going forward to rise up in support of Ortom, and while at this, we are also calling on all well meaning Benue sons and daughters, those with the interest of Benue at heart, and Nigerians in general to form a strong support base around Governor Samuel Ortom, to enable him end strongly.

His lone voice in the call for a restructured nation has not gone unnoticed, therfore, we have chosen to be the eleventh hour disciples of Governor Samuel Ortom and as part of our duties will not tolerate any form of attack on his administration, as the slightest form of same will be met with stiff resistance from us.
