I am currently studying mathematics education...but am contemplating if it is the right course for me....i just love all the whole courses..,i choose mathematics education in the first instance because of my love for mathematics...don't know if i should transfer to another course...if yes then which course...OH AM CONFUSED

From first statement, x + y = 11 (eqn 1).

From second statement,
10x + y = (10y + x) - 9 (eqn 2).

From (eqn 1), y = 11 - x (eqn 3)

Plug (eqn 3) into (eqn 2):

10x + (11 - x) = 10(11 - x) + x - 9.
10x + 10x - x - x = 110 + 9 - 11
18x = 108
x = 6
From (eqn 3), y = 11 - 6 = 5.

So, the number is 65.
