PerfectMatchNG: What happened in Lagos yesterday is an indication of what’s to come, it has nothing to do with Xenophobia or South Africans but a glimpse of what the middle class should expect from poor Nigerians who are waiting for a reason & an excuse to strike.
These people have constantly strolled into the malls year over year, too poor to shop & no hopes of a better tomorrow, sees other people with chubby looking kids rolling shop carts & loading groceries into their cars. They want these things too.
Engage poor Nigerians ones. You will see that undertone of “In this tough country, these people are living large and buying cars, they are thieves”. The middle class is the closest to Nigeria’s lower class. They will be the first target. This thing is here already. Just recently, I noticed my estate introduced armed mobile police personal to join the current one. The need to have this things is a signal that we have a failed society already. These people will not be able to save us. You’d be surprised they’d join in.
We are sitting on a nuke. Poor Nigerians are angry and they are not that angry at their government. They are angry at you because: 1. You drive a nice car 2. You travel for summer 3. You shop at Shoprite 4. Your kids, chubby. 5. You live in a fine house.
In this economy, how? If you lived through the riots of the mid 90s, you’d understand this is not new. The middle class is always at the receiving end. The people believe Nigerian can never be better, so they want those shiny things you have. At least that would give them some satisfactions.
If Nigeria ever gets a Revolution (which I pray we don’t get). It’s going to be the poor versus the seemingly rich. You don’t have to be rich to be a target. You just have to enjoy what others don’t enjoy. Scary times ahead.- copied did you copy this from somewhere or this is how you are feeling against the poor. What sought of mentality is this. |

dayowunmi: From what I heard and know so far, academic masters are for those who finished with minimum of 2/2 and those who enrol for it are eligible for PhD if they so choose. In UI, those who finished with third class and have done PGD can only go for professional masters. They won't be allowed for academic. I wouldn't know why they can't just fix same exam for everyone and pick people based on performance but they insist, third class can only do professional masters regardless of how many PGD they have amassed. Also people working in organisations already can come in for professional masters. All in all, I think 2/2 and above holders can do academic or professional masters if they so choose but TC holders are streamlined to professional masters alone. So do well to check the status of the program you are applying to whether its academic or professional. Hope this helps? yes sir . |

Sanchez01: You're welcome, bro. About installing WordPress... Be sure you are installing it in the right directory path. Enter your domain name in the URL section of your browser and see what it returns.
About your theme, I hope it is a good theme with higher ratings on Themeforest? If it isn't, you might have just bought wàhálà.
That said, since you have access to YouTube, I recommend you judiciously use it to your advantage. Don't fail to ask questions and be quick to ignore those who ask you to contact them. thanks man...well I am progressing very fast with the website... Here is the URL . Starjitewebs.com ...how is my progress |
Webmasters › Re: After Hosting Your Domain What Next?? by Profmaojo(op): 12:15pm On Jul 01, 2019 |
Sanchez01: Eh yah... You clearly know nothing about WordPress and you embarked on a DIY mission?
For the record, you didn't but 'Themeforest'. Themeforest is a marketplace and you bought a theme, most likely WordPress' from them.
First off, you need to understand the type of packaged you bought from Godaddy. There are better hosting companies you could have used but, oh well...
Here's a free advice. This section of the forum is brimming with scammer and people who are ready to take your money and disappear. Find one person you can trust, go through their profiles, do a detailed research on the person before asking them to take up your task, if at all you want to contract it to them.
DIY isn't a bad idea but you should understand what you're getting yourself into. thanks man God bless you..I actually wanted to learn through this means...why I choose goddady instead of HostGator is because of the free domain that they normally give and 1$/ month hosting for the list hosting plan...I am still checking YouTube videos and Google to get more information. I want to do it myself..it is just part of learning. The truth is I need someone to teach me the next step and how to solve some of the problem I will/ have encounter on the way. Thanks I have actually install the WordPress on GoDaddy. I believe I will get it with time |

andassyn: You should have use another host apart from Godaddy Godaddy uses website builder and also offers WordPress hosting which of them did you bought? If it is the website builder, then you might need to get another hosting... If it is WordPress hosting, then search Google for how to setup WordPress in Godaddy thanks a lot I actually bought themeforest and I did not buy it from GoDaddy... |

shadeyinka: It is possible to see a dirty cat! It is possible to see a clean pig!
But there is a big difference: One has a nature of enjoying Filth The other has the nature of Cleanliness
What happens if a pig is washed, cleaned, perfumed and sanitizer and taken to live within Sheraton Hotel for five years. If this pig is given an opportunity to go out into the slums with plenty of muddy water, would the pig come home clean?
What happens if a pig is converted miraculously into a cat, given an opportunity to live in Sheraton for one week and then released to go into the slums with muddy waters. Do you think the Cat is likely to come home clean?
The problem we have in the church is that we have many untransformed but clean looking pigs. When they now wallow in mud, we question their salvation. But the question is really: were they really transformed from pig to cat or they just recited the sinners prayer? I understand that there are three stages in the transformation of a Christian 1. Salvation 2. Santification 3. Holy ghost baptism. You made reference to the second stage which is sanctification...so you are saying any sanctified being filled with the holy ghost can't sin?? Think about some men of God, do you think they don't fall into temptation? Do you think they are without sin, once in a while |
Christianity Etc › Re: "Once Saved, Forever Saved": Wrong And Unscriptural! by Profmaojo: 1:09pm On May 15, 2019 |
Yinyeon: That’s where you guys get it all wrong, a true Christian would never love to Sin the way an unbeliever does and Yes, it feels horrible when you do! A true Christian would never think to take advantage of God’s Grace, regardless.
There might be a point in every Christian’s life that he back slides, but oh God comes to discipline His own and put them back on the Narrow way.
The New Testament plainly states that God does judge His people, meaning that He brings loving discipline and correction, sometimes sternly. And while it is gloriously true that our sins are forgiven in Jesus, there can be still consequences to our sins in this life, just as an alcoholic forgiven for decades of drinking may still develop cirrhosis of the liver. yes God will discipline them, but what if they refuse to change.. Note: there is always room for repentance ok but when an individual choose not to accept changes or come back to Christ..will the person go to heaven or not?... Will the individual be forever saved? |
Christianity Etc › Re: "Once Saved, Forever Saved": Wrong And Unscriptural! by Profmaojo: 7:21am On May 12, 2019 |
Yinyeon: Very Correct, if ever one loves committing sin and is never bitten by it whenever he/she does so, it means the person was never saved to begin with, because the God who saved us is faithful and powerful enough to keep us.
It doesn't mean as Christian, we don't sin for we are in this evil flesh that strives to displease God hence, we have the Holy Spirit who is always in constant conflict with the flesh. However, the sin of a Christian doesn't lead to eternal damnation just takes us farther way from God. Good morning sir/ma, do you mean that you can be far room God and still attain eternal life?? Because the opposite of eternal damnation is eternal life. When one sin, you have to ask God for forgiveness but saying since you have been saved you are always save and can continue doing what you want is absurd |
