Now we know why dude couldn't stay in his State.

A state that is about one fifth the size of Lagos (in terms of population) yet remains the Murder-Capital of Nigeria tells a lot about the kind of Governor Akpabio is..

Ok we've heard.

Now tell us why Akpabio deported himself and his family from his state to a PDP state....

Ngwakwe: For your information, Lagos State demands business permit of N100,000 yearly per shop at Ladipo market aside from other numerous legal and illegal levies imposed on them.

Orji Kalu's building is to pay N21 million for infrastructural levy

Fashola manages the taxes, duties and levies paid by Igbo citizens of Lagos State.

NB: my comment is only meant to put this deranged fellow in check.

Demdem: Gone tru the entire thread and wasn't dissapointed. The low point is Afam's disgraceful comment. I cringed reading such.
So far, the only edge akpabio has is the prison he built. All others, he is defeated.

Afam is a disgrace!!

I wonder why the site's management appointed such a person as a Moderator.

He is and i think he is also baptised. He does field work too (used to in the past). They will likely ex-communicate him.

He stopped being one of Jehovah's witnesses a long time ago. Though his elder brother is still a very strong member of the said religion. While I was in Uniben I met one of Festus' niece who was in Engineering, I think her name was Ejiro or something like that..
Politics / Re: Keyamo Emerges Consensus Senatorial Candidate by ProfOgogoro: 5:54pm On Sep 14, 2013
As a Deltan I congratulate Kenyamo on his successful clinching of the APC's Senatorial ticket for Delta Central. I encourage him to brace up for the challenge ahead as the waters of Delta politics are extremely murky and highly turbulent.

I also thank the APC for giving the ticket to a credible candidate instead of fielding the usual money bags or recycled worthless politicians who have run the state aground directly or who have tacitly endorsed the impoverishment of the good people of my beloved state.

Personally, I have my doubts with regards to Kenyamo winning the Senatorial election. My doubts however pale into insignificance when places side by side with my strong conviction that forthright men like Kenyamo are needed to set things straight in the Political Arena both in Delta State and Nigeria. I will therefore give him my wholehearted support and encourage all Deltans to do same. The road shall be rough, narrow and cramped, but with determination, courage, perseverance and hardwork we shall succeed.

People never believed Oshiomole could win an election in Edo state in view of the strategic importance of the State as well as the fact that Mr. Fix It hails from there. However the good people of Edo State believed him to be the best and voted massively for him, the rest they say is history.

In conclusion, I urge all Deltans to support Barr. Kenyamo. A vote for Kenyamo is a vote for progress. Let us usher in a new era in our Political History and eschew politics of "Ghana-must-go bags", thuggery and mediocrity.

A word they say is enough for the wise.

Afam4eva:
I've told you people to stop bringing in population as long as Lagos or any state does not feed it's population. If anything, it's to the advantage of the state with a higher populaton cos that will mean more money via taxation. We're looking at the number and quality of projects executed and only a blind man will not give it to Akpabio but if we were to rank them based on people oriented projects then it may not even go to either of them. An obscure governor may win it ahead of them.

Your comment stinks of superb unintelligence and a worrisome lack of analytical ability.

A. Five people occupy two-bedroom apartment
B. One person occupies a two-bedroom apartment

Which of the above will need more frequent maintenance??

Which of the above will depreciate faster??

Which of them will have more frequent cases of facilities breakdown??

Since the day you chickened out of a debate, I knew rational and logical thought was never your strong-point so I'm not surprised...

Johnsinia: I find it very hard to believe that the people supporting this wicked and selfish act by ASUU are good studnts. How can a group closs down a nation uni for any reason? If they claim that they are doing it for the studnt, is'nt it an irony? Can any group closs down any sector in America bc the govt faild to pay them? I doubt that, instead, they will protest peacefully for their voice to b heard.
I ve come to conclussion that all these ppl supporting ASUU strike falls into one of these categories below:
1. They are nt studnts
2. They have issues with their GPA hence, they prefered a short down of educatn in Nig. What do u expect a person with a GP of 1.0 or 1.5 to b doing in sch.
3. Are frustrated with educatn. As if educatn na force, why nt go into businex and leave us the studnt alone.
4. Are broke hence, they want the strike to linger a little while. Guys in this category, u r nt the only studnt that needs money, i too need it like mad bt i wil neva pray for anytin that will delay my graduating as 4 when due. I work during holidays to make ends meet and leave the rest 4 God.
5. Hate Jonathan and PDP and are whiling to do anytin to frustrate them even at the expanse of the nation economy and the studnts, they dnt care.
6. Are Boko haram. "Western educatn is a sin." their plans to turn Nig into a nation of fools is gradually coming to fulfilmt. God 4bid.

Strike destroy a nation. It is neva and has neva been a tool to draw the attentn of any govt in the world. Rather, it is a tool used by a group of bitter individuals to bring the govt and the nation as a whole to shambles. What do strike leave us with? Loses, backwardnex, death, hunger, etc. All strikers are terrorist. the same way terrorist short down the economy of a nation is the same way strikers short down the nation's economy.

Strike is nt the way forward and can neva be. It is a tool used by the oppositn to the ruling party to frustrate their govt. The only way forward is CONTINOUS DIALOGUE AND PEACEFUL PROTEST. This is a tool used by 'real educated peace loving people' without causing a disruption to any sector of the economy.
